My wife and I bought a “certified pre-owned” vehicle from Auto Nation Ford. The vehicle was a recent trade and had yet to go through an Auto Nation safety inspection in order to sell the vehicle. When we tes Auto Nation Ford. The vehicle was a recent trade and had yet to go through an Auto Nation safety inspection in order to sell the vehicle. When we test drove the vehicle, we noticed a hard shift, clicking noise, and hesitation with the vehicle. We were assured that the vehicle would be undergo a rigorous safety inspection and be ready upon completion of sale. 7 days later (we lost two vacation days waiting on the vehicle), the vehicle was finally delivered. We were told that back ordered parts were to blame for the delay. To date, we have yet to receive the inspection/repair list. The issue with the hard shift was still present, but we hoped that the recall that had not be repaired would fix the issue. It was not! I called the Auto Nation Ford dealership, and asked to speak with the used car sales manager several times with no contact. I did finally get ahold of another “manager” who failed to identify himself. He stated that our vehicle was sold “as is”. After voicing my concern of buying an unserviceable vehicle at the purchase price of $20,000 “as is”, the manager reluctantly said he would research and get back to me. A week later, I have heard nothing. We took the Jeep Grand Cherokee that we purchased to Suncoast Jeep/Dodge/Ram to get a diagnosis. The team at Suncoast easily identified the issue and got the vehicle fixed. The team at Suncoast let us know that this issue should have never left the lot and would have been easily caught on a pre sale safety inspection. Auto Nation lost my business forever. Hopefully this review brings the deceptive practices to light at Auto Nation Ford in Bradenton, FL. More
Went there twice in past two weeks. Neither visit did anyone come out and approach me . Finally on last visit I went inside showroom and asked for help. The guy walked with me to what I was very interest anyone come out and approach me . Finally on last visit I went inside showroom and asked for help. The guy walked with me to what I was very interested in but you could easily tell he wasn’t interested in spending another second with me . Between this dealership and Firkins in Bradenton I can’t determine who’s the worse I ever visited . So I’ll take my 5K down and 803 beacon elsewhere. Didn’t need to sell me . Not much work needed. I’ll walk before I beg for help , to hand you 50-60 K of my money. More

I recently took my F250 in to check for an oil leak and a few other items. I just wanted some checks done and an estimate for repairs. That was last Wednesday the 23rd. I was told to bring it back in Monday few other items. I just wanted some checks done and an estimate for repairs. That was last Wednesday the 23rd. I was told to bring it back in Monday the 28th which I did . Later that day was told to come back Tuesday that they had not gotten to resulting in having to rent car additional day. To shorten this when I got the estimate they charged me $458.12 to do diagnosis. I've written to the service manager no response. I don't mind paying a fare charge but this was way out of line. This was a rip off for doing nothing but checking for estimated repairs. Do not recommend doing business with them. Doug Williams More
The service dept is run like most in the nation, "problem is going to take several visits before we can figure this out and narrow the solution down" . Fairly new truck with less than 4000 miles, starter wo is going to take several visits before we can figure this out and narrow the solution down" . Fairly new truck with less than 4000 miles, starter won't engage. 3 trips to their service dept and the problem returned within 2 weeks each time. They told me the next fix they were going to try was a $2500 new wiring harness. Went to Advance Auto Parts store and they recommended a new starter relay ($ 23 ) which solved the problem. These folks cost me many wasted hours and $ 560.00 dollars for absolutely no resolution to the problem which I'm thinking they knew how to fix all along. When the counter guy at the auto parts store knows more about fixing a Ford truck than the supposedly "factory trained" ford mechanics, Auto Nation Fords service department deserves a minus rating in my opinion. 10:30 am appt and at 2:30pm still not inside I purchased my 2010 Lincoln MKX several years ago and was very pleased with the sales staff. Being a snow bird from Canada I spend approx 5 months her I purchased my 2010 Lincoln MKX several years ago and was very pleased with the sales staff. Being a snow bird from Canada I spend approx 5 months here so decided to bring the vehicle back there for a recall on the air bags. I arrived at 9am for a 10:30 Appt and explained I would be biking so hopefully they would get the fix completed ASAP. While there I also asked for an oil change. Came back at 1:30 to see the car outside so my hopes went up. When I went in to speak to the service advisor it took 10 minutes just to find the paper work. He went to talk to the mechanic who said he thought it was for some reprogramming, not the air bag replacement, after several discussions the realized it was a replacement as per the recall. At 2:30 still car outside with me starting to pace. Around 3 pm decided to pull the vehicle, they said it had just been taken into the service bay, not comfortable that I would even get it back same day so asked for the vehicle and will have it done by a dealer back home. Very frustrated More
