Shady, deceptive sales tactic's that skirt Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade and Practices Act. Be sure to check the length of extended warranty and what it covers if you purchase an Autonation Exte Deceptive and Unfair Trade and Practices Act. Be sure to check the length of extended warranty and what it covers if you purchase an Autonation Extended Warranty at closing. They will sell you warranties that might not cover your vehicle or its accessories so read the fine print before you sign up for one. If the finance guy at closing says he's going to do you a favor and lower the interest rate on the loan so you will purchase a warranty - that should be a red flag that you may not be getting the best finance rate that you could be getting. The guy gets a commission if you buy the warranty so he's going to try to be creative and a bit deceptive if he can to get you to sign up for one. If you are told something has been repaired or will be repaired on the vehicle your buying - get it in writing. Plan to add $1448 in additional dealer fee's to the sale price they tell you and that you are not made aware of until they start doing the paperwork. ( $899 dealer fee, $400 tag and title transfer fee and a $149 electronic filing fee ) Finally, don't do like I did and waste your time trying to talk to management if you have issue with or after the sale - they talk a good game but there is no follow up once you hang up - at least not in my case anyway.
