Several months ago I dropped my Gladiator off because of a jerking in the transmission. I checked every couple of days and each time was told that they hadn't gotten to it yet. I went in a week later to t a jerking in the transmission. I checked every couple of days and each time was told that they hadn't gotten to it yet. I went in a week later to talk to them and the service writer conferred with the service manager who came out and say he'd personally driven the jeep and didn't find a problem. I left and took the jeep to Castle Rock Jeep. Within a couple of hours they called and said that they had diagnosed the problem and would need to order and install a new transmission. They followed up within a few days and after I dropped the Jeep off, they were done by the end of the next day. I've waited to write to make sure it all worked out and I couldn't be happier with Castle Rock Jeep and although I bought my Jeep at Broadway, I can assure you that I will never seek service there nor will I buy from them again and will encourage others I know to avoid Broadway Jeep. I came in with an appointment regarding a recall and asked if my vehicle was safe to drive. The dealership refused to state that my vehicle was safe to drive, did not indirect my vehicle, and then lied asked if my vehicle was safe to drive. The dealership refused to state that my vehicle was safe to drive, did not indirect my vehicle, and then lied to Jeep wave about what they did. I have the receipt from the visit and the write up on it was the complete opposite of what Jeep wave started the service manager as saying. Maybe FCA is lying, who knows. I'm the mean time I am in a vehicle that the dealership service department refuses to say was safe to drive, putting myself and others at undue risk without anyone attempting or offering any other solution. Service is typically outstanding, however this time, I took my jeep in as it wasn’t starting and thought it might be the battery. They tested it and said that wasn’t it so I left my jeep. They had no loa took my jeep in as it wasn’t starting and thought it might be the battery. They tested it and said that wasn’t it so I left my jeep. They had no loaner vehicles so I had to pay out of pocket for a rental. 5 days later, they said it was the battery and it was ready for pick up. It costs me 400 for a rental just for them to change the battery. Then they tried to charge me for a prepaid oil change. Again, typically this dealership is great. My last experience was not good. Brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for an oil change and scheduled 10,000 mile service. The team was great, met me out at my car when I pulled into the service bay and talked me through all services to be p scheduled 10,000 mile service. The team was great, met me out at my car when I pulled into the service bay and talked me through all services to be performed. I waited for my car in their lobby which was nice and clean and my car was ready within 45 minutes. More
Here is my honest review: 1) It was impossible to schedule a service appointment over the phone. I was put on hold interminably and when I then opted to get a call back instead, I never received one. schedule a service appointment over the phone. I was put on hold interminably and when I then opted to get a call back instead, I never received one. I then attempted to schedule an appointment online but the dates were grayed out until December. I finally resorted to stopping by the dealership to schedule an appointment. 2) The service department had my vehicle for 3 days which was understandable since they had to order a part. However never once during this time did I receive a call giving me an update on the status of my vehicle. An update either through a text message or phone call would certainly be appreciated and if nothing else a common courtesy. 3) When my vehicle was ready to be picked up I asked the person at the service desk if I could chat with the technician who performed the repair to get an idea of what exactly was done. I was told that the tech couldn't spare the time since this was around 5pm on a Friday afternoon and he had to leave for the weekend. 4) When I picked up my vehicle the exterior was dirty and I had a six inch crack in my windshield which wasn't there when I dropped it off. I made the service person aware of this and was told that it would be brought to the attention of the service manager and I could expect a call on the following Monday. It's now Friday of the following week and I haven't heard a thing. More
