The service reps were wonderful, however, what I paid for a battery was way out of line. Hard to give a positive response, a recall on my truck was performed several years ago (drag bar, weld adjusting nuts). I was told by tire shop to have the front end aligned, took it to a shop, they said was performed several years ago (drag bar, weld adjusting nuts). I was told by tire shop to have the front end aligned, took it to a shop, they said they can not align due to the welded nuts. Called Auto Nations about that and they said they would replace the updated version (this was early September) bring it in on October 9, 2023 and it will be changed. Arrived with vehicle on Oct 9 expecting to wait for several hours. I was told they have to take a picture of the drag bar and get approval to replace. I questioned the service tech about having an appointment and was expecting to have it changed as the person that I talked to indicated that it would be accomplished on the appointment date. Service tech said I needed to leave my vehicle as it would take quite a while to get the approval and the work needed to change the drag bar and I would have to pay $170 for a front end alignment (questioned why and that would not be included in the changing the drag bar, which doesn't make sense, if you change a part like that it should make sense to insure the customers front end is aligned). I opted to leave and service tech recommended I take it back to the dealer that did the recall in a sarcastic manner, I said I bought my vehicle at this place. Waited for General Manager to arrive and talked to him about what had taken place, Manager went and talked to the service tech and came back and explained the same thing over again. He told me I could take his personal vehicle for the day and return it when picking up my vehicle, I told him thank you and left with his personal vehicle. They called me at 4:30 PM and told me my vehicle was ready, went in and picked up my vehicle and returned the managers vehicle to him and thanked him for the helping with a situation that should have been a simple wait for a appointment established over a month ago but turned into something that frustrating to say the least. The most positive part was the understanding of the General Manager and his help in making the frustration of repair to my vehicle tolerable. (Being 81 and no one to assist me to come and go to the appointment is something I did not figure on dealing with after arranging an appointment a month in advance.) More
