The service was great. I knew going into this that these folks were covered in work up to their knees. Just swing by on a Wednesday and you'll see what I mean. 10 Days seems to be, as with work I've had done in the past, about the usual time it takes to get the vehicle in and look it over. Parts and warranty approval, another 2-5 days approximately. After all that, they have to work it in depending on, I don't know, size of the job? Meaning man hours to get it out the door. In my case, once I learned which items were to be warrantied, I also wanted any related but not overlapping items to be changed while they had that section opened up. In the construction world I guess they call that a "change order." Example: 1. The water pump was being changed but a new Thermostat is not included in that job? No need to go into details on that one. I should point out that the coolant temperature sensor is included with the new water pump. 2. Serpentine belt would be removed for the job, so I wanted it replaced at the time of re-installation. It was worn. 3. While the intake manifold was off for gaskets, I wanted the plugs changed. With the intake off you have more room to do the rear plugs or so it would seem if you combined those two jobs just right. 4. The throttle body would be removed with the intake, so I threw in the throttle body service. 5. While they were going to be changing the water pump, I threw in the non-included coolant flush. So, I dropped off my Ram Bighorn on the 27th and got it back on the 15th. For the amount of work done, I can't complain. For this particular trip to service, Truse took care of me well. The last time I was there, Elizabeth took very good care of me also. The only reason I have given this whole thing a 4 star is because I think the Thermostat change and coolant flush is a no brainer here and should be included in the warranty of the water pump. You have to remove at least the thermostat O-ring and hose. The O-ring may be included, but I believe it to be wisdom to change the Thermostat if it is 5 years old or older if you are moving it for any reason. And then there is the coolant flush. You're changing the water pump. Flush the system prior to breakdown and call it included. I don't want everything for free just because I have a warranty with Autonation. And I do appreciate that I was given a slight break on the overall bill for the thermostat. I need my truck pretty much every day just like most people. I would have preferred it were ready on Monday, but it's done and so far, it appears to be good work. I should add that I did enjoy the walk around video the Tech prepared. Now who is going to clean all this oil off my engine from the intake manifold leak? (Humor) More
Dropped my car off for warranty work. Did not like that there was a 7-day waiting period before they would even look at it. Then they had to order parts. When we got the car back the de Did not like that there was a 7-day waiting period before they would even look at it. Then they had to order parts. When we got the car back the dealership had it for about 3 weeks. Repairs are good but communication was not the best. We got a call the second week that told us what was found, and parts were ordered. Then we received a call on Thursday that said parts were in and our car would probably be ready Friday. We didn't hear anything Friday so Monday we started calling and never received a call back. On Thursday I received an alert that my car was being driven so we called and found the mechanic was out test driving the car. We received a call a few minutes later and were told the car was ready to be picked up. More
