These guys are unprofessional and try to take advantage of consumers. I had a car to sell and they bated me with a high value just to get me to bring the car to them for evaluation. Little did they know I of consumers. I had a car to sell and they bated me with a high value just to get me to bring the car to them for evaluation. Little did they know I was not the average consumer. After 30 minutes the acquisition specialist came to me and claimed there was an issue. Due to the high milage (92,262) he claimed their shop checked the vehicle and found the transmission was slipping. Of course this meant a significant reduction in the purchase offer. What they didn't know was I have a scan tool that connects to the OBD connection to read any fault codes. In todays modern automobiles a transmission issue will most always throw a code to alert the mechanic were the problem is. I scanned the computer before bringing the car to Auto Nation and no such codes existed. This was a classic bate and switch used by un-reproable car dealers like Auto Nation that are desperate to find clean used cars to stock their inventory for re-sale. Shame on you Auto Nation. I would stay clear from these unethical car people. More
