When the manager of the dealership begins to argue with a customer, there is definitely no way in which I can trust them at that point to make an honest deal. You expect some upsell, but do not expect to have sales persons unwilling to provide information about any specials, sales, or even something as simple as the price of the car. It was a sad experience shopping and just checking out the cars in which to find what was the best one for my needs, but I left surprised and amazed that a manager of a dealership would actually try to argue with a customer and try to tell them they're not interested in buying a car. That tells plenty about the kind of dealership that is run at Autoway Chevy. More
Love the customer service I received I was in Clearwater when my son closed my trunk with my keys inside. I called Autoway Chevy and spoke to Becky. I am a 19 year old with no credit built up yet, when I say that these people went out of there way to help me get a vehicle I absolutely mean it... There were so many obstacles to get through because of my age, lack of credit, and lack of proof of address, the salesman Jameson Swayne even came in on his day off and we spend 10 hours together figuring out how to get this done but we did, we overcame and I got a really nice vehicle!!! I have bought many cars over my 70+ years and many were not good experiences, particularly acknowledging the bad rap some auto salespeople get. I have nothing but praise and high regard for my salesperson, Mike Campbell, who went way above and beyond to make my purchase and my family comfortable. There are not many in this business like Mike. You should be extremely proud of his service to your customers and Autonation. He is a gem among the rocks. I love this dealership we went to Dimmit and they were had terriable customer service. AutoNation made the car buy experience so much better. The only thing i would have changed is if they told us about the extended warrentee ahead of time instead of puting us on the spot when it was time to buy. I was about 400+ away so i was pretty much at the mercy of Mike Campbells word and it paid off. I called tuesday and made the drive from Pensacola to Clearwater on Saturday and the truck was every bit as b of Mike Campbells word and it paid off. I was in and out in approximately 45 minutes with my new truck so definitely no complaint there. Had a small snag as one of the window ventguards was broke but the GM immediately authorized a new set and they were overnighted to me the following week. I highly recommend Mike, he's a great guy and knows what he doing i.e. he doesn't mess around and waste time. Great experience! More
I am very pleased with my 2008 Ford Edge that I purchased at Autoway Chevrolet Clearwater, FL and my salesman Gabriel Rodriquez. WHAT I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT IS THAT EVEN THOUGH I PURCHASED MY CAR IN NOV. 2012 at Autoway Chevrolet Clearwater, FL and my salesman Gabriel Rodriquez. WHAT I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT IS THAT EVEN THOUGH I PURCHASED MY CAR IN NOV. 2012 I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN AN OWNERS OR SYNC MANUAL and this week will be Feb. 2013. THEREFORE I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO WORK MY ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, MY BLUETOOTH OR ANY OF THE NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEMS. THERE ARE ALL THESE BUTTONS AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE THEM WORK. GABRIEL HAS BEEN TRYING TO GET ME THE MANUALS TO NO LUCK. I HAVE GIVEN UP AND ORDERED THEM ONLINE WHICH IS COSTING ME $60 PLUS DOLLARS TO GET. THEN ON TOP OF THAT - I DON'T KNOW THE SECURITY CODE TO GET INTO MY CAR. I FOUND OUT THAT I HAVE TO 1ST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AUTOWAY FORD IN ST. PETERSBURG, FL, THEN LEAVE IT THERE FOR HOURS SO THEY CAN USE A COMPUTER TO PUT IN A CODE AND THEN - GET THIS - I AM GOING TO GET CHARGED $87.00 TO HAVE THIS DONE. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON MY VEHICLE AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE CHARGED FOR THESE OWNER MANUALS AND MY SECURITY CODE. I know Gabriel tried his best to get these for me, but to no avail. I think his manager and/or the General Manager should have approved of giving their customer the tools they need to be safe with the vehicle at the time of purchase and not charge them extra for them. That is why I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND Autoway Chevrolet, the management does not back their salesman and take care of their customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
