Terrible buying experience Terrible experience. Terrible communication. Terrible customer service. Inquired about a vehicle, called five times over the course of two days bef Terrible experience. Terrible communication. Terrible customer service. Inquired about a vehicle, called five times over the course of two days before someone finally called back. Vehicle was priced twice it's book value. Literally. When asked how to move forward and complete the purchase was essentially told "it is what it is, too bad....oh yeah, and there will also be a $700 doc fee". Price cars whatever you want, free market, but telling a customer "oh well, somebody will buy it" isn't a professional sales process. More
Best Dealership in Pinellas!! This was my second time using Autonation Chevy and they did not disappoint. Heidi was fantastic and found us exactly what we wanted despite our budget This was my second time using Autonation Chevy and they did not disappoint. Great Experience I don’t usually write reviews. That being said… I must have inquired about 30 or so cars, via CarFax, before making my decision on a dealership. The f I don’t usually write reviews. That being said… I must have inquired about 30 or so cars, via CarFax, before making my decision on a dealership. The following morning I must have received hundreds of calls. I had made a few appointments but was still unsure of them. It wasn’t until I received a call from Chelsea Burr, at AutoNation Chevrolet that I felt confident in her ability to xxxxx my needs. My situation was a little more unique then most, yet Chelsea and her team at AutoNation were able to accommodate all those needs. From start to finish Chelsea went above and beyond. From fetching a balloon for my daughter, easing her tantrum, to assisting me in dropping off my rental. Car shopping with a toddler is not easy but it went a lot smoother than anticipated. Chelsea understood what I was looking for and we were able to narrow it down rather quickly. I decided come back at a later time without my daughter in order to test drive these vehicles. Not once did I feel pressured or they seem eager to push anything on me. I went home went over the CarFaxs on all four cars. After test driving them I was able to narrow it down to two. Chelsea let me decide while being informative and realistic about the differences. During the final stages Chelsea, her manager Benjamin and Ed from finance were very helpful in easing the stress. it was a smooth stress free experience and I would highly recommend AutoNation Chevrolet! They'll say anything to get your money. We've had terrible service 3 times this year. The first was for a major engine issue that cost over $5,000. When we left the vehicle, we were told everything would be handled in less than a week. 3 weeks later we still had no answers but they were quick to offer additional services at our cost. When we finally did get the vehicle back, two new leaks were discovered within a week. Refusing to accept responsibility (coincidences happen all the time, we were told by the rep), they charged us another $900 for what we perceived as their fault (crazy coincidence to have major engine work and then new leaks that had never been there before). When we got the vehicle back this time, the steering was...different. When we mentioned the new noises and vibrations to the service manager Greg, he told us they'd take care of it. So, reluctantly, we left the vehicle a third time. When we picked it up, the rep told us we owe $1500 for the repair! Outraged, we refused to pay. Now, Greg was unreachable. We even spoke with an attorney who advised us we had no legal recourse since we never got the estimate in writing from Greg. Needing our vehicle, we had no other option but to pay. We feel like this dealership depends on deception and shady mechanics to maintain business. They know that people can't legally do anything so they do literally whatever they can to screw people over. Talking with people in the waiting area, we found that these tactics aren't uncommon. Very unfortunate that these crooks are able to operate a legitimate business. Also, the vehicle developed another new problem (engine now overheats) within a week. More
hook line and sinker I set up a service on a new vehicle I told the service person I need the oil change badly but more importantly I need a new key made. I was given the I set up a service on a new vehicle I told the service person I need the oil change badly but more importantly I need a new key made. I was given the a point mentioned for the next day. I arrived the next day for the key making and oil change i was informed at that time they could not make the key. I can only get a key made at a Chevy dealership I can get the $100 oil change anywhere else for less. I was told less then 20 hours before. I took my personal truck there usually it was due for a oil change as well I took it to Firestone today it was liberating. If you maintain the maintenance it's covered by the Chevy warranty as well. Was told by the online manager that submitting a credit app would secure the vehicle till I could get to dealership to finalize. No one ever called so two days later I call the salesman, Jason, and am told the app was approved but the vehicle was sold. I was not happy. He assured me, as well as the used car manager, that they would find a comparable vehicle with same terms. Went to dealer to hopefully finalize deal and was blown away by what I was presented with. Triple the car payment I had agreed to and double the vehicle price. I drove an hour to this dealer and they could care less that I wasn't happy and did nothing to help...not even an apology. I was misled and basically lied to on the phone simply to get me in the dealership. I will never go to any Autonation dealer nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. More
Terrible Customer Service and Overall Experience Do not ever go to this dealership. This was the worst experience ever at a dealership. Sales staff completely disrespectful and doesn't understand the Do not ever go to this dealership. This was the worst experience ever at a dealership. Sales staff completely disrespectful and doesn't understand the phrase "customer service". When the manager of the dealership begins to argue with a customer, there is definitely no way in which I can trust them at that point to make an honest deal. You expect some upsell, but do not expect to have sales persons unwilling to provide information about any specials, sales, or even something as simple as the price of the car. It was a sad experience shopping and just checking out the cars in which to find what was the best one for my needs, but I left surprised and amazed that a manager of a dealership would actually try to argue with a customer and try to tell them they're not interested in buying a car. That tells plenty about the kind of dealership that is run at Autoway Chevy. More
