I was lured to the dealership after I called to inquire about the available 2022 Malibu after I asked the salesman, Rolando, if there were any mark ups or addendums on the car he specifically stated there about the available 2022 Malibu after I asked the salesman, Rolando, if there were any mark ups or addendums on the car he specifically stated there weren't. First, once I arrived (at about 9:45 AM) and looked at the car and started working on the deal I was hit with additional charges not related to T T&L (for example window tinting etc) even though those items had not been added to the car yet. When I asked if I could eliminate them as they had not been installed I was specifically told I could not. I did manage to negotiate them down a little bit, but it was not a pleasant experience. The second issue was I was promised delivery of the car later that afternoon. That did not happen and I had to wait until Monday to take delivery of the vehicle as they could not complete the window tinting on Saturday. That delay impacted my ability to work. Once I arrived, at about 1 PM, we took delivery of the vehicle, once we started driving off the first Malibu we received was smoking so we had to return to the dealer, initially they wanted to take it to service to diagnose the problem, that was not acceptable and I insisted that the vehicle be replaced by another new one, needless to say, that took another few hours. I was finally able to leave at about 4 PM, but my wife and daughter had to stay at the dealership waiting to take deliver of the vehicle. Needless to say, they waited until almost 6PM before the delivery took place. The experience was painfully long and uncomfortable. We are a GM family, and although we will likely stay a GM family we will stay clear of all Auto Nation dealerships. They wasted all our time and if I could do it again I would go somewhere else. Terrible service, total lack of empathy and they did not seem to care that they wasted my time, my wife's time and my daughters time. They should be ashamed of their performance. I will talk about the poor experience at Auto Nation with all my friends and family for a long time. More
