I took my 2018 Traverse to AutoNation Chevy for some safety related issues we were having with the Cruise Control, lane assist and a tail light that wouldn't work properly. We were advised by two differ safety related issues we were having with the Cruise Control, lane assist and a tail light that wouldn't work properly. We were advised by two different mechanics that this would need to be a dealer issue. We made an appointment, and waited the two weeks for the appointment. The first day, the scheduler called and said they needed more time. The next day, crickets. The next day, I called near closing time and was told my car had about 90 codes that it was generating and it would cost about $1500 - 2000 to further diagnose the problem. The only good thing I can say about the situation was that the quote was free. I took the car to Village Auto Electric in Mesa. $460 later, it was a brake sensor that messed with the Cruise Control and Lane assist problems. The tail light was due to a faulty ground wire. While I understand there were a lot of codes, I felt like the dealership was afraid to take on the project, thus the high diagnostic quote. But why did it take 3 days to figure that part out? More
My service advisor (Kirk) was great. Kept me updated on status and was very helpful and professional. Car was returned to me washed, vacuumed and repaired as promised. I took my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado in for a routine oil change. They told me my battery was failing and needed to be replaced at around $250 also they recommended a transmission service because it was at 5 change. They told me my battery was failing and needed to be replaced at around $250 also they recommended a transmission service because it was at 50,000 miles. I called my husband to get the okay from him to have the recommended services and he questioned the battery because it wasn't that old and it should still be under warranty. I called and left a message with the service advisor to have them check to see if the battery is still under warranty. He later called me back and said that it was still under warranty and he went out himself and checked the battery and now it tested fine. He said the technician must have had the tester calibrated for a newer vehicle that has a bigger battery. My issue is if we wouldn't have questioned it they would have just charged me $250 for a battery I didn't need. An expensive mistake. I have to say it made me feel like they were trying to take advantage of me, hopefully it was an honest mistake but now I feel more cautious about taking my truck there. More
It was easy to schedule an oil change online. Drop off was easy, the service time estimate was right on and my truck had a wash completed following the service.
