I made an online appointment for my first service, an oil change. When I scheduled via the website I indicated that I would be waiting there at the dealership. It was for 8:30 Saturday morning; they open at change. When I scheduled via the website I indicated that I would be waiting there at the dealership. It was for 8:30 Saturday morning; they open at 8 and I was there by 8:20. When I tried to check in, the service advisor had trouble finding me on the list. Then he just told me where I could wait. This waiting area was in another building. There was no indication that they had over scheduled appointments or how long it would be. I don't expect a 15 minute oil change but certainly not more than 90 minutes. When I finally checked back with the service advisor after 90 minutes he said it would be another 45 minutes. This estimate was accurate. He said that I should have expected it to be 90 minutes or longer. I am most frustrated because I could have dropped off the vehicle if there was some indication on the website that it could be over 2 hours and also because the service advisor didn't mention this when I turned over my key; had he done so, I would have gotten picked up and come back later for it. More
