This dealership was a two-hour drive from my home but had the style truck I wanted. I went down and looked the vehicle over and purchased it. It came to around 44k, with the GAP insurance and fees. It was nice and hot (as South Florida is) when I bought the vehicle and in the following days. I drove my truck with all the windows down on the first day that it was cooler and could hear a metal "click" noise coming from the rear end. It can be heard when traveling at low speeds in residential areas or parking lots without a ton of traffic noise around. It is an intermittent noise and seems to happen during thrusting stops and thrusting take-offs at low speeds. It also will periodically do it in reverse. It isn't easy to hear the noise when there is a lot of traffic around. I immediately called the dealership and could not get through to anyone in service. So, I contacted the sales rep I purchased the vehicle from, and he assured me to bring the vehicle in (1 week from my call date) and that Maribel would be waiting for me at 7:45 AM. I stressed the fact that I was driving from over 100 miles and two hours away to have the vehicle looked at. I stressed how difficult it is to hear the noise if there is a lot of traffic around. I even sent multiple videos of the noise the vehicle was making to the sales rep to pass along. He assured me that Maribel was aware of the situation and to come in at that time. When I arrived at the location, Maribel acted like she had no idea I was coming. I then sat there for 4 hours while they "checked" my vehicle out. I made sure I sent the videos and explained the noise the drivetrain was making to the contact in the service centers outside booth. After 4 hours, he returned and said the truck was no longer making noise. He said they moved a metal shroud in back that could make that noise. Upon returning home, the truck is still making the same noise—the same click noise in the rear drivetrain. Something is seriously wrong back there, and now I will have to pay out of pocket for another dealership to figure the issue out. The entire process was rushed, and no one showed any care in the matter. It was an "oh, we already got your money for the truck" vibe, and now everything is a quick in and out without any in-depth search of my current problem. This is the worst experience I've ever had while purchasing a used vehicle. Completely unorganized and a quick and rushed "diagnosis" that just looked for basic, obvious issues without paying attention to the complex issues or facts that I presented them with. Four hours of drive time and a whole day's work were wasted because of poor communication between their service and certified preowned sales team and a rushed/sloppy service department. I am absolutely disgusted with this dealership's lack of care and organization. I covered every angle on my end to ensure all of the facts were presented, and in the end, I am left with a drivetrain that's clicking on a CPO vehicle and countless hours and time wasted because no one cared to go the extra steps for me. I now have to postpone my business trip because I have to take it to another dealership to solve the issue. Just. Plain. Gross. More
