I came to AutoNation because it was a Costco member dealer and they were the dealer i was told to go to for "member pricing". The Costco process was not adhered to, at all. Additionally, I was lied to during the sales process on more than 1 occasion, I caught them in a lie about a vehicle not being available, I am not talking about a lie like "the best we can do is this____" I mean like, a flat out lie where a vehicle I asked about that was on sale at another auto nation was "not available" and it actually was. I had an off feeling so during a moment when the sales person stepped away to talk to his manager about something, I called that dealer directly and was informed said vehicle was in fact available and ready to be test driven and sold. I probably should've left then and there to the other dealer but Doral offered to give me a better offer on the same trim level but 2024. I "think" I got a fair deal at the end of the day, but it was a painful, back and forth process and I don't intend to repeat it. I definitely would not send any family or friends here to have to deal with it. I've purchased new vehicles before and this by far was the worst experience and to top it all off my vehicles were not prepped, they were not cleaned or detailed, with smudges all over the brand new car, liquid stains dripping down the interior of the doors like someone sprayed something and let it run and didn't dry it. One of my vehicles even had a razor blade tool left on the floor that was discovered the following day by my wife when we started to familiarize ourselves with our vehicles. I am grateful my son who would've sat in the back didn't find it and injure himself or damage anything on the vehicle. When confronted with this information, the best the manager could offer me was to go back and have it cleaned and top off my fuel tank for the trouble. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me as I don't live near the dealer and going there would present a huge inconvenience for something that was a failure of the dealer. Eventually, they relented and agreed to allowing me to be reimbursed for the vehicles cleaning but I still have to come out of pocket 1st and there's no guarantee they'll honor their word, given that I've been lied to by this same manager before I am hesitant to believe it but i will do it anyway and cross that bridge when it comes, if it comes. And for those wondering why i didn't just walk out and purchase elsewhere, it was because we had already been there hours upon hours, they did have the specific vehicles and options we wanted so at the very least they do a good job of having good inventory but aside from that and the sales peoples friendliness during the selection process, the final paperwork/pricing side of the process and the vehicle turnover/deliver left a lot to be desired. I got stranded 4 blocks from the dealer. they didn't even try to help me. don't waste your time going to this place. More
