Was frustrated because I had an appointment scheduled for 7:30 and they still had not touched my vehicle at 4 so I had to go without a vehicle for a few days. They did fix the problem my vehicle was having s 7:30 and they still had not touched my vehicle at 4 so I had to go without a vehicle for a few days. They did fix the problem my vehicle was having so I was thankful for that and the service agent was nice. More
I expected and wanted to have a great experience at AutoNationWest. But I cannot say that is what happened. I know nothing about cars except put gas in and go. If it doesnt start, I reach out to friend AutoNationWest. But I cannot say that is what happened. I know nothing about cars except put gas in and go. If it doesnt start, I reach out to friends first for advise and some of these guys have worked on cars their whole life. So I trust them. When I first took my Chrysler mini van in, I was introduced to Coby - very pleasant young man - very customer oriented. My advice from my car friends was to "make sure they check the battery cables." there was corrosion on one of the posts. I did tell Coby that - and he said they would check out "everything." I am dependent on my car - it's the only one I have, Coby said they needed to have it at least a week. So I rented a car at $500+ for the first week. During that week, they were unable to duplicate the problem. Granted that it was "electrical" so that wasnt a big surprise. But at the end of the week there was no progress. During the second week - the mechanic decided that it was the ignition system - and I would need 2 new fobs also - $1200 - but the part was back ordered - no ETA. Not their fault on that part. 3rd week - no news. 4th week - part still on back order - no ETA. 5th week - thankfully I turned the rental car back in after the 1st week and prayed for the kindness of friends to get me around to and from work, etc. But I had to have a car. So I asked if I could come pick mine up and drive it till the part comes in. that was met with a little trepidation on the part of AutoNationWest - but after 3 days they said OK and would call me when I could come pick it up. they never called. Finally I called and talked to Denise - I hope that is her name - She was an angel - got me good information and said the part was still on back order - BUT she told me that I could come pick up my van. That afternoon - I did go get it - drove it home. woo hoo ! Well the saga continues - the following Sunday after church - it wouldnt start. Well - I was kind of expecting this. A kind member stopped and got his battery cables out to boost my van and when we opened the hood, it was obvious that no one had touched the battery cables. When we connected the jumper cable - the corroded post cable actually moved and was able to be lifted right off the post with just a little wiggling. the end of the story is that the next day - Labor day - I managed to get both cables cleaned up and reattached "firmly" to both posts and havent had an issue since - that's been a month. So the moral of this ordeal is that if the mechanic had even lifted the hood and touched that cable, he would have fixed my van in a day instead of ordering a $1200 part ( that I canceled) and I am assuming that they "guessed" it must be the ignition since obviously their "computer diagnostics" didnt see it either. I wanted to have a good experience - I expected a good experience - I'm glad it only cost me $500 for the rental car. More
Cody really took care of me when I brought my Traverse in for an oil change. I only trust the dealership to perform work on my cars. I have been burned by so called "mechanics" and quick-change oil places in for an oil change. I only trust the dealership to perform work on my cars. I have been burned by so called "mechanics" and quick-change oil places in the past. It is worth peace of mind to know that trained professionals work on my car and that AutoNation Chevrolet guarantees the work. Thanks, Cody! Ron More
We are traveling from out of state and our Chevy Silverado needed an oil change and tire rotation. It was going to take a couple of hours so our service writer Coby who was very nice offered us a ri Silverado needed an oil change and tire rotation. It was going to take a couple of hours so our service writer Coby who was very nice offered us a ride so we could get lunch. We told him we wanted to go to Torchys Tacos and got in the car. The driver again asked where we wanted to go, I told him Torchys Tacos and he didn’t say anything but kept driving. Realizing that the restaurant was close to the dealership and we were nowhere close to it I again told him where we wanted to go. His response was “is it a hotel?” I again told him no it’s a restaurant and pulled up the directions on my phone. We had gone in the complete opposite direction. My problem isn’t that he was not familiar with the restaurant, my problem is that he didn’t ask and just got on I40 and drove 10 miles out of the way. He was completely clueless and didn’t ask. Our other negative was that when they rotated the tires they did not adjust the pressure. We tow a 41’ 5th wheel and tire pressure is very important. More
