I had an extremely pleasant car buying experience at Pikes Peak Acura, thanks to my sales consultant, Phil Moon. He is a total rockstar! Phil was easy to talk to, easy to work with and had a great sense of humor as well. I have NEVER had such a smooth, enjoyable purchasing experience in all my years. The dealership itself had many cars to choose from, and Phil was honest and straightforward in providing guidance as to which cars would be better choices, even steering me to a lower cost vehicle at a point! I drove onto that lot with my guard up, ready to fight and CERTAINLY NOT buying a car that day... but all that changed with the great respect I was treated with and the comfort level I felt working with Phil. It is obvious that he employs the Golden Rule in his professional atmosphere, and it was pleasantly surprising and refreshing. By the end of the transaction, I was already prepared to send all my friends and family to Phil, and I told him so - and then he STILL told me about his $300 per referral offering, even though he would have had all my referrals anyway, even without such a generous offer. I want to sing his praises regardless - I am SO happy with my new ride and the tremendous lack of stress and anxiety I felt while procuring it. As for price, we all want to spend less and we all want the best deal. Unfortunately for me, my credit situation could use some improvement... so financing was a bit of a challenge. However, Phil was ultra patient and considerate and he took a lot of time from his day to help make the deal work. Was I hoping to spend a little less? Sure! We all do! But I am ecstatic with my purchase and my experience, and I will return to Pikes Peak Acura and Phil Moon when I'm ready to do it again! More

I was assured he was an honorable man and that speaking to him would be more than an exercise in futility. In the first few minutes on the phone with Leif, he was apologetic, upset, and confused as to why anyone in his employ would be so dishonest, actually driving potential customers from Acura. He disclosed that Jerry was not a long-time employee. I suggested that he shouldn't be a long-term employee either, based on the inexcusable way we were treated. Leif stated that he wanted me as a valuable customer who would call him personally with any issues/problems. He came across as sincere and I sensed nothing but concern and the honest desire to put the ugly past behind us. We moved the discussion to our previous offer on the Rdx. Although his initial starting price was slightly higher than the previous starting number, with the full trade-in amount, down payment, and a reduced interest rate, our monthly payment would be slightly lower than the previous offer. When I asked how he could just reduce the rate, he stated that he would call in a favor to finance and they'd make it happen. His offer resulted in exactly what we asked for on a vehicle we loved. With the interest rate a quarter point lower than the original offer, we'd even pay less over the life of the loan. However, after going in twice expecting to sign and having such bad experiences, we might not take advantage of this incredible deal. My suggestion: If you fall in love with an Acura ask for Harlan, since I know he's honorable and has integrity. Then look at your offer closely, and if anything looks off, ask for Leif. Don't walk away from something great, just because of a couple of untrustworthy individuals. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harlan was our salesman. He was nothing but nice and worked to accommodate us in every way. I would do business with him again, but not at Pikes Peak Acura. After a few test drives and a trade-in quote on our car, we went in on Saturday 8/25 and presented the Costco offer on a new RDX. A trade-in amount of $4000 had been offered on our current vehicle. We immediately learned that although the Costco offer includes the delivery fee, dealerships add their own additional advertising, and other costs, raising the total by approximately $1000 over the price Costco provides. We negotiated a few times with Bruce and received three different offers based on different down payments and term lengths. After an hour of no further progress we walked away, since the attitude was starting to amp up making us uncomfortable. We took the hard copy of the the offer we liked best with us when we left. We were told by Bruce it was good until the end of the month, but after that the value of our trade would be lower. We actually called and spoke to him 5 minutes after leaving and told him we'd return after church to buy the vehicle if they had the time. After he didn't return the call, I left 2 messages on Jerry the sales managers phone - which we're never returned. After a few texts and calls with Harlan, since we no longer wanted to deal with Bruce, we returned Tuesday 8/28 with the offer in hand to purchase the vehicle. Since the offer we had in hand was over $1500 below the average people were paying online, and we really liked the vehicle, we came back - as long as we could deal with Harlan. Harlan started the paperwork but hit a snafu when we presented the offer received from Bruce, rather than the initial offer. After going back and forth a few times, Bruce came out. He was holding the original offer. He claimed that all offers were for vehicles currently on the lot - even though we never discussed taking a current vehicle and, as we pointed out, he had written the color of a vehicle that would be arriving in a few weeks on the offer sheet. When we told him we wanted the other offer he had given us, he took our copy of it with him to Jerry's office. He came back and told us that offer was not good, only the initial offer. We then found out that even though on the offer form it said $4000 for our trade and listed a monthly payment, when the math was done, it actually only gave $3500 for our trade to get to that payment. We told him we wanted the offer we had left with, which truly gave us the $4000. He went to Jerry again and came back and said it was off the table and they wanted to give us less for our trade-in. We asked to see Jerry. When Jerry came out he was holding the offer giving only $3500 and our trade-in's title, which we had already given Harlan. He claimed that it was last month's offer and it was a new month. He took quite an attitude and stated firmly that this was the only offer, which was $500 below the offer we had received two business days prior - in the same month. I asked about the offer we arrived with and he said "what offer". My wife and I asked a few more times about why they were not standing by their offers and he kept stating the last month/new month argument. After several more New month arguments, and after I pointed out that the original offer was a $500 lie, I called him "A lying sack of Sh*t". He said he didn't have to take it and walked away. I followed him into his office and asked to see the original offers. He said "what offers? This is all I have" while rifling through someone else's folder - as though I already had a packed file on his desk. Apparently the offers conveniently vanished and proof of them no longer exists. Since at least some at this dealership have problems with deceitfulness, no respect for the customer, and total lack of integrity, we cannot do business with them. I would discourage anyone thinking about buying an Acura, to go elsewhere, or at the very least to check the math, since they have no problem writing down an offer by hand and presenting something different, and to their advantage, by type. Be aware. More
My recent experience with Pikes Peak Acura was definitely not a pleasant one. For one, my salesman Mike Prebbles was probably the worst salesman at this particular dealership. It was very obvious that all not a pleasant one. For one, my salesman Mike Prebbles was probably the worst salesman at this particular dealership. It was very obvious that all he cared about was making money and not the happiness of his customers. He was very sneaky, deceitful, and when asking him a question sometimes the same question, he would never give a straight answer. When it came to negotiating the price and purchasing the vehicle Mr. Prebbles conveniently slipped in additional cost which when confronted about he lied and would say "Thats what we agreed on" which was completely false! This man should be removed the auto sales industry immediately as his actions and lies greatly dented Pikes Peak Acura. Acura is a great name in the automobile industry, but Pikes Peak Acura has a lot to learn if they want to keep customers coming back, ESPECIALLY MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS! A little advice to Pikes Peak Acura, weed out the crooked salesman and you will experience more frequent sales. More
Bait & Switch, salesman told me that he would work his "a$$ off" for me yet when it came down to purchase time they said they could get me financed just not the one I want in the one I didn't wan work his "a$$ off" for me yet when it came down to purchase time they said they could get me financed just not the one I want in the one I didn't want,,, Used sales 'manager' tried to sell it as 'good news'; I said 'No Thank You' and walked, the followup text messages and phone calls to attempt a sale lead to the salesman sending very nasty and derogatory text messages, I'm filing a complaint with the GM / Owner, BBB and Acura Corp. I know I should have walked away from this transaction. But I have to share this story with those who are thinking of looking for a used car and who are thinking of going to Pikes Peak Acura Used Car Sales But I have to share this story with those who are thinking of looking for a used car and who are thinking of going to Pikes Peak Acura Used Car Sales in Colorado Springs. It started off with not being able to test drive the vehicle. They finally cave and we drive it. We are not allowed to "hot Rod" it (STi). And we are not allowed to take it on the highway or at high speeds. (later you will find out why) POOR! While purchasing the vehicle numerous times they tried to not pay off the our trade in and hide inside our payment. Finally I felt comfortable about the price and signed away. POOR We take the car home which is highway all way for about 75 miles. We are getting used to the way the car handles... it is a 09'. Getting used to riding in a lower car and the road noise. The STi's are known for road noise. We get it home... Take people for test rides. Then we realize there is a road noise that doesn't sound right. My father a mechanic takes it for a spin. Says there is something that ain't right lets look at it. He looks and notices that it is has a BENT AXEL. It is Sunday I can't call the dealer. I call John the salesman on Monday. He says oh no way it can't be. Have it checked by a shop and call me back. Meanwhile we get it confirmed it is a bent axle and Subaru will not pay for it because it must be driver error and not a part that failed. Call John. Now I will skip the hours and hours of screaming and yelling on the phone. But basically All John would do is reimburse for half and that's it. This isn't right. They didn't disclose this info when the car was sold. Couple days go by and we get a hold of Lief head of Pikes Peak Sales at the new lot. He agrees this is a huge mistake and agrees to fix the car free of cost and give a loaner.... GREAT. Even though it is a pain in the you know what! We take the car... it takes 10 days to fix. We take it for a drive. Nothing is wrong. They also had to replace A BENT RIM, BENT AXLE, AND WHEEL HUB!. We take the car home. It sits for a day in the garage then we notice it is leaking oil from near the axle they replaced... We jack it up and see that the axle isn't even in all the way!!! What a HUGE safety hazard!! We drove that car on the highway at near 80 mph for 70 some miles!! We decided it was best we fix it ourselves because we are officially done dealing with Pikes Peak Acura. Please please please do not use this dealer!!!!!!!! It is for your safety!!!! More
