when I shop for a new car I do my research ahead of time and pretty much know what my trade is worth and what I can purchase a new car for, I am not afraid to walk away from a deal and am ready for a battle and pretty much know what my trade is worth and what I can purchase a new car for, I am not afraid to walk away from a deal and am ready for a battle. At Autofair Honda when I went in to trade my tundra for a ridgeline things got a little hot for a while, but, these folks were very professional and a deal was agreed upon, I ended up with the new vehicle and was pleased with the way in which the deal was handled, when its time to trade I will go back to talk. Thank you Keith, Mark and Pam. Keith for shepherding the process through, to include accepting my old car that was in pieces at another dealership. And to Mark for handling the paperwork, showing me cars a process through, to include accepting my old car that was in pieces at another dealership. And to Mark for handling the paperwork, showing me cars at your off-site lot and for personally driving to Keene for a vehicle swap. And what a pleasant surprise to speak with Pam in the finance office who offerred me a much better finance rate that I had originally expected. Overall, a great experience. Everyone was friendly, helpful and courteous. Thanks again, Jim More
I purchased a Honda Civic from this dealer in Feb. 2008. The sales person who helped me knew everything about the car. He walked me through everything in great detail. His name was Ed and I thought him exceptionally knowledgable, extremely helpful very polite and respectful. The finance person was also very helpful and polite. It can be stressful applying for financing and he made the experience easy. I will return to this dealer for my future purchases and will also recommend them to friends and family. More
I have really enjoyed my experiences at Autofair Honda and would recommend them to anyone. I have bought three cars there and each time I was treated with respect and honesty. Whether I was speaking wit and would recommend them to anyone. I have bought three cars there and each time I was treated with respect and honesty. Whether I was speaking with my sales person, a manager or a finance person the result was the same; they were all working to get me the best deal possible. I have had many friends and family go to Autofair, based on my recommendation, and have the same great experience that had. I will definitly continue to go to Autofair Honda for all my car needs. I called up and gave all of my information including car payoff. I explained I knew I was upside down and the amount I was upside down. After a few call backs they were positive they could give me the dea payoff. I explained I knew I was upside down and the amount I was upside down. After a few call backs they were positive they could give me the deal I needed. They gave me a price of $350. So I hired a baby sitter and set out to buy a new car with my wife. When I got to the dealership noone could seem to find Stephine. After about 10 minutes Stephine was found and she handed me off to another sales guy. I had to give all my info over again. They checked out my trade and after a few back and forths to the "mysterious sales desk" they said the best they could do was $399. I was a little disappointed and explained that they told me $350 over the phone. They said they were wrong sorry. So like most people probably do I said show me the car and then we will talk. About 5 minutes later they said I think we have a problem. Hold on my manager has to check the computer. The guy walked over to the sales desk and the manager talked to him for a bit never once hitting a key on the computer. He came back and said I am so sorry the computer messed up it is going to be $444 a month. I don't quite know why but right there I felt like I was speaking to the devil. Here I was after a long day at work only wanting to spend time with my kids hired a baby sitter went out just to be cheated like this. I said this is crazy I want to talk to the "mysterious sales desk". They would not let me. I said it is just a room with a desk whats the big deal. The senior salesman now pulled in said he would get the sales manager. While I was waiting 2 other customers said to me that they did the same thing to them. I said this has to be illigal. The other people wondered how they are still in business. Next the sales manager came out. Now this guy on a normal day I would have probably liked. He seemed like a good standup guy. Young intelligent marine type. Under different circumstances I probably would have bought him a beer. This guy explained that Stephine (the girl on the phone) is hired to get people in the door. I said this is illigal and explain my whole situation. He said it is not illigal. He extended his hand as to say good by and get me out. That is when it happened. I lost it. I did not swear but I shouted that it was crazy that they are doing this to people. Then I said I don't know how you all sleep at night you are all all going to xxxx as I yelled out to all of the employees at the dealership. The sales people escorted me out and the sales manager came out after me. I think he was looking for a fight. He yelled you have no right damming me to xxxx. I said you are screwing people for a living. I said you are a car salesman you can do better. He said I was a Marine for 10 years. I said I respect that. I really do. He said you should. I am a disabled vaet with vet license paltes on my car. (Not sure way the extra information maybe he was feeling guilty). At that moment I remembered THEY HAD MY KEYS!!! The manager muttered some more you have not right bla bla bla. I did not say anything else I just wanted my keys and wanted to leave scumbagland I took the high road at that point shutup and we drove off. NEVER WILL I BUY FROM AUTOFAIR HONDA!! NEVER!! More
My experience with this dealership was infuriating! I My experience with this dealership was infuriating! I was interested in test driving a Honda Fit with a manual transmission. I called this dealers My experience with this dealership was infuriating! I was interested in test driving a Honda Fit with a manual transmission. I called this dealership a few hours prior to my visit to ask if they had a manual Fit for me to test drive. The sales rep on the phone said she would have to call me back to answer my question. She did call me back about 5 minutes later, and said that there was a manual Fit that I could test drive. She wanted my name so she could "pull the car around and have it ready for me." I told her my first name, and when she pressed for my last name, I didn't give it to her. She was friendly, but I felt she was digging for information that she didn't really need. I drove an hour to get to the dealership, only to find that there was NO manual Fit for me to test drive after all. That was all I needed to be told. Angrily, I got up to leave. Britni, the sales rep, urged me to wait while she double-checked on whether there was a manual Fit on the lot. But she didn't check SQUAT -- she just brought her manager back with her instead. She presumably did this so he could try to intimidate me into staying, because the manager's approach was neither friendly nor apologetic! Her manager just whined at me about how he sells sooooo many cars, and the car I was looking for might have been available earlier in the day, but he probably sold it... Hey, if he's selling that many cars, good for him. It means he doesn't need my business, which is good, because he sure as xxxx wasn't going to get it! This dealership had to call me back to tell me there was a Fit on the lot in the first place. They just as easily could've called me again to let me know that there wasn't one available after all. The fact that they didn't update me on the status of the Fit leads me to believe that there was never really one on the lot to begin with. They were dishonest with me before I even set foot in the dealership! I can't believe they expected me to stick around to do business with them after they lied to me from the get-go. More
I am writing this because I don't want anybody to get burned like I did. Please be careful if you are going to buy your car from Autofair Honda. THey are dishonest. My husband went in thinking that we burned like I did. Please be careful if you are going to buy your car from Autofair Honda. THey are dishonest. My husband went in thinking that we were going to test drive a couple of cars to get a better idea of what we wanted. We were never planning on buying then. The saleswoman quoted us the price of a car which was 26 thousand something. Then we agreed to think about purchasing. When she was playing around with the numbers, she started putting that the car would cost 28,000. THis was their first deception. She lied about the price so that my husband and I would consider it, and then she added on a couple of thousand. Another thing they did was that they told us that we would have 30 days to secure financing outside of thier financing. We didn't want their financing b/c my husband and I can get a much lower rate from our credit union. They told us 30 days, but then they said we only had 3 more days 2 days after we bought the car. We want in to talk to them both about when they needed the financing and about the saleswoman lying to us about the price. They basically said too bad. They basically said that we would have to deal with it and that they needed the check the next day or they would have to charge us their higher rate with the financing. They lied about the price of the car and how much time they would give us to get them a check. Please be careful. They are dishonest and tricky. They will say whatever they need to for you to buy. Once you are out the door though, customer service is out the door as well. I would not be surprised if half of the positive reviews on this site were written by the deceptive sales team at Autofair Honda themselves. BE CAREFUL OF AUTOFAIR HONDA PLEASE!!! More
I must say what a bias dealer. We had the oppurtunity of buying a preowned honda accord from a fine gentleman named matt there. we were very satisfied with him he worked hard for us, so we went back a few d buying a preowned honda accord from a fine gentleman named matt there. we were very satisfied with him he worked hard for us, so we went back a few days later to finish up and get an inspection. matt was there with a big smile still very helpful even though he had another customer at the same time. twenty minutes into my inspection i was done an ready to leave only to find out that the managment team had riducled and fired matt for a very unjust reason. we were very upset. matt had given us his cell phone number for any problems so a few days later we called to check on him. he was working at a new dealership Grappone Honda. so we came back to buy another car from him at grappone. he was very excited to see us and I cant believe how great our experiance was with him and the managers. way to go matt you found a great dealership. I would DEFINATELY RECOMMEND ANY ONE WANTING A HONDA TO GO SEE MATT AT GRAPPONE ITS WORTH THE TRIP. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM AUTO FAIR. More
I had one of the damndest weird experiences I have ever had at a dealership. My helpful, friendly salesperson negotiated a price, with frequent trips to some mysterious office, after which a closer came ou had at a dealership. My helpful, friendly salesperson negotiated a price, with frequent trips to some mysterious office, after which a closer came out to finalize the deal. We agreed on a price, and I told them I wanted to take another look at the car, and when I came back another closer repudiated the 1st closers price and said they wanted $500 more! I was pissed but wanted the car so I told them I had to think about it overnight. He wrote down the new price, and when I came back to buy the car the next day, I was told, Sorry, its now another $500 more! My poor salesman was totally freaked. He had, in effect, done the work of selling the car twice, and got screwed out of making a well earned sale. More
