I often walk by Auto Fair Honda when walking my dogs, and one day, before the dealership opened, I walked through the lot and a Honda Fit caught my eye. I mentioned it to my wife. We went back later in the day and as we walked through the lot, Peter Wilcott came out to speak with us. He showed us a used Fit, we discussed the price range I was looking for, and exchanged contact information. Peter called the next day and I told him that I really wasn't in the market for a new car. I was very happy with my 10-year old Civic EX that ran perfectly despite having 170K miles. I told Peter that if any specials or deals came up to give me a call and we left it at that. A couple of weeks later Peter called me and told me that they had a 0.9% financing deal and that he thought he could find a new Civic or Fit in my price range. I went back to the dealership, test drove a Fit Sport and liked it. Peter knew the car and its features, and was very aware of my financial requirements in purchasing a car. At no point did he use a “hard-sell” technique, and I appreciated his approach. I cannot say the same for the “closer” that was brought in to finish the deal (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember). I explained to both Peter and the closer that I do not make impulse purchases, and that I wanted 24 hours to think about the deal. The closer refused to take that as an answer, repeatedly asking me, “What can I do to get you to leave here today in this car?” Though I continually told him there was nothing he could do to make that happen, he persisted. This was both uncomfortable and annoying and I left Auto Fair seriously doubting that I would purchase the car. The following morning Peter called me and told me in their sales meeting that morning they had decided to grant a final concession for which I had asked. I went back to Auto Fair later that afternoon and agreed to purchase the vehicle. The bottom line is that I would not have purchased the vehicle were it not for Peter Wilcott’s professional approach. He was honest, above board and persistent in a non-threatening or pressuring way. He took the time to listen to my needs in a car, and paid close attention to my financial requirements. I know Peter didn’t make a lot of money on this car, yet he approached the deal as if it were as big as any he had ever made. Peter has earned a customer for life and I give him my highest recommendation. More
I hate trading cars or atleast I did until I met Peter Wilcott. I just bought my second car from him and I must say he is the best salesman I have ever dealt with. We worked together and in a very short couple of hours I drove off with my new car. Peter showed concern for what I wanted and tried very hard to make it happen for me. Absolutely no sales pitch or pressure. It was all about what I wanted or needed. Autofair Honda is a wonderful place to do business and I hope they realize what a great salesperson they have. I have been to several dealerships in the past. Autofair Honda has given me the best experience. I may have only worked with 2 employees, but the rest of the staff was friendly and courteous. Matt Kipp was my salesman and I could not have asked for better. Usually I'm nervous about buying a car. Never before have I been so relaxed. No pressure. Matt did not try to sell me something I did not need but he found the perfect match for me. Matt got me the car I truly wanted for a price that I will be comfortable with. He answered all my questions honestly and was extremely helpful. Jeffrey Burnham, our finance guy was also great. He was very helpful in getting me the best rate and the best payment. I would not hesitate to send friends, family, or coworkers to Autofair as I know when it comes time to purchase a new car in the future, that's where I'll be going. Service is great!!! Recommend highly. Refreshing to deal with "real" people, not just someone out to make a buck. More
AutoFair - I never really thought about it until I was in there leasing my 2nd Pilot... FAIR! and that's what I got. The salesman, who to me isn't your typical salesman, was the best I have ever had. We laughed and talked and laughed some more. He put me at ease, and for me, most salesman are thinking of only one thing and that is, "how much money am I going to make?" Obviously, Matt has to provide for his family so he does think about it: but he also thinks about the customer and what they are comfortable paying. I believe it goes both ways, it has to be FAIR for both buyer and seller and that is what Matt Kipp accomplished. Trust is a difficult trait to find these days and I have to say I TRUSTED Matt Kipp. You have to meet him... so if your looking for a Honda or a used car, go see him: you won't be disappointed! He is honest, funny, sincere, helpful, compassionate and trustworthy. I've been in a couple of times to get my inspection sticker put on and another time to have some extras put on that I had ordered. Every time I am there we talk and laugh. He does not treat me as though the sale is done... he always makes me feel at home. Every time I see him he treats me as kindly and respectfully as he did when he took care of my purchase. AutoFair is a great place! You all work as a team and you can see it and feel it when you are there. There is a comrade-re that I have not seen before. You are all good to each other and it comes across in the way you treat your customers. Thank you for a wonderful experience!! More
For second time in 5 years I left auto fair frustrated because I wanted to get an idea of the price and wanted to come back following day after checking with my insurance agent before making the deal. I was given the " typical" hard sell by the salesmgr "Burton" honestly how can you buy something when you don't know the cost. I made it clear I would not sign today. Sad part I had a Blank Capitol One check already approved for auto fair. This was Sunday today is wednesday the new 2011 accord is in my driveway tonight. I am in sales and I get beat up all day about price this does not carry in to my personal life. I don't need to know that I got the absolute rockbottom price. I just need to know I am not getting screwed. I am willing to pay a bit more for customer service and a good buying experience. A good salesperson is a good listener Burton was not a good listener. JR my salesman was great we loved him he was well versed regarding the vehicle we were interested in. If he is on commission auto fair should cut him a check. To close in past 6 years I have purchased 2 vehicles from auto fair. I guess customer loyalty gets overridden by price and negotiation. More

As Mark and I got out of our car, Ali greeted us immediately with a welcoming, friendly hello and introduction. She asked us if she could help us and from that point on answered all of our question immediately with a welcoming, friendly hello and introduction. She asked us if she could help us and from that point on answered all of our questions, showed us around to all the Honda CRV's, described all of our options, took us on a test drive and sat us down to go over all of the details. No question was a bad question and Ali's easy-going demeanor made us feel right at home. Within a short time, we were driving home in our brand new Honda CRV, with everything we wanted. My husband and I went to Autofair Honda to look at a specific vehicle with a specific price range to work with. The sales guy (Pete Wilcott) was great. Showed us exactly what we wanted to see and did specific vehicle with a specific price range to work with. The sales guy (Pete Wilcott) was great. Showed us exactly what we wanted to see and did not try to push us to look at other vehicles or to spend more than we could afford at the time. He was able to explain the vehicle thoroughly inside and out (as if he personally drove the vehicle everyday). We also were working with a trade and received an extremely fair trade-in value. Everyone was was nice to work with from the sales department to financing. We were able to purchase the vehicle we wanted and drive it off the lot within just a short couple of hours. I have personally had previous experience with this dealership in the past for the purchase of a new vehicle and for service. The people and prices have always been great (not over priced like most dealerships). I would definitely go back to Autofair Honda again and have already referred them to family!! More
