Over $1000.00 for brakes that were no safer I brought my car in to Autofair since I needed to fix a recall on the airbags. This is a 45 min. drive (quite inconvenient) but was necessary. Since I brought my car in to Autofair since I needed to fix a recall on the airbags. This is a 45 min. drive (quite inconvenient) but was necessary. Since I already needed to drive to Manchester I thought I'd trust my dealership to also fix my brakes and perform an inspection during the same visit. I left my vehicle for most of the day (8:30 - 5:00) for the work to be done. After paying over $1000.00, I was surprised that my brakes felt at least as bad as they did when I brought my car in (and I was told they would not pass inspection had this work not been done). I thought maybe there was a bit of "breaking in" that needed to happen, but then my husband drove my car and and was furious at how unsafe my car was with brakes that needed to be stomped on to actually stop the car. I called the service dept. the next day explaining that my husband did not want me to drive my car since it was dangerous (and I would need to travel with our son), but they had no solution for me to have the car taken back and for me to still go to a scheduled dr. appt. I instead drove the 45 min. (again!!) and then had to wait more that 2 hrs. (with my son) for the brakes to be fixed (again). I expressed my grave concern and dissatisfaction with their service - "How could all this work have been done without anyone noticing that the service - Brakes - didn't even work??" also "How could my car pass inspection when the brakes didn't work?" and "Why wasn't more done to compensate for their mistakes?" I had to waste my gas and 3 1/2 hours of my day to get their mistake back to them for nothing!!! I also expressed this to them on the phone, in person and again online after the service and NO ONE followed up with me!!!! Instead I have received 3 calls asking if I am interested in buying a new car!! My experience tells me that they are more interested in $$$$ than safety and service. More
