Unfortunately found this out after making the purchase. Called the dealer to advise what had happened and was told they would take the item off but I'd have to drive an hour and a half back to the dealership which I am unable to do in the time frame they provided. The Manager was rude and when I told him I'd never buy another vehicle here and would be spreading the word he stated he wouldn't want me to buy another one from them anyway. Overall the guy was very rude and didn't seem care after the purchase was complete. As I stated above will never buy another vehicle from AutoFair, and have been and will continue to spread the word about their shady tactics. More

Recently I went back to trade in that vehicle as our family is growing and we need something larger. Unfortunately, Tim was not working so I ended up with another sales associate. My experience couldn't have been any further from the first. Scott was very pushy and rude. He gave me one option to choose from..one vehicle. I didn't like it at all! It wasn't what I wanted, I didn't like the way it drove and it wasn't even clean yet. He made me feel silly for not liking it. He even went as far as to belittle my fiance (who wasn't there) for giving me a budget that I intended to stick with. I also didnt appreciate the way he was speaking to the two guys that were training with him. I left VERY disappointed. The next day I got exactly what I wanted down the road a Quirk. I guess the experience you have really depends on the sales associate you end up with. More

Tried to Buy a New F-350 Synopsis: I tried to buy a brand new, 2019 F-350 from Autofair Ford using the USAA (military) Buying Program. It was nothing short of a nightmare. I h Synopsis: I tried to buy a brand new, 2019 F-350 from Autofair Ford using the USAA (military) Buying Program. It was nothing short of a nightmare. I have no idea why. In the end they sold me an F-250 INSTEAD of the F-350 I wanted/needed and then were semi-ridiculous when I wanted the extended warranty I purchased for said F-250 refunded (as Ford assures it can be when you purchase it). Takeaway: It doesn’t appear anyone working at this Ford dealership actually knows anything about Ford trucks OR gives a xxxx about Ford trucks. DO NOT attempt to buy a Ford truck from Autofair Ford. My Story: I wanted to buy a 2019 Ford F-350. I need an F-350 because I haul a full ton (2,000lbs) of animal feed every week and have been doing it with a 1992 F-350 for the past six years. I wanted to make this one, serious upgrade to a brand new full ton Super Duty truck and then be “set” for the next 20 years. I am a member of USAA (military banking/insurance) and they have an AMAZING “Buyer Service” with member dealerships. I used the USAA Buyer Service to begin searching for an F-350 and Autofair Ford was one of the dealerships that contacted me. I was impressed because I was contacted by a woman who said she was the official USAA contact person at Autofair. I mean I was impressed that they had someone specifically assigned to handle USAA people. And I also got an email from the general manager. I thought that was a lot of “effort.” Which I like. So I began emailing with the woman who was the “USAA rep” about an F-350. They had one on the lot, but a regular cab and my “requirements” were: extended cab; 4x4; 8ft bed; and the “cheapest” trim we could find. I made an appointment to go to Manchester on NEW YEAR’S DAY after a long and busy day of work and I drove the 1.5 hours to get there before they closed, thinking I had an appointment with Ms. USAA Rep. Apparently no one there knew I was coming. When I told them there was an “email trail” regarding the truck I wanted and my appointment they did find it and Ms. USAA Rep came out, introduced herself, shook my hand and…I never saw her again. I was handed off to a salesman who had NO IDEA what he was doing. I mean NO IDEA. I mean he told me he had just started there and he kept having to go to his “manager” or someone to figure stuff out. I knew way more about how buying a car/truck works than this guy knew/knows. No car dealership should have someone working as their “sales rep” who has no idea what they’re doing. You must give the people who work for/represent you the tools/knowledge/training to be able to do their job. That is CLEARLY not the case at Autofair Ford. BlahBlahBlah – foolish 12 yr old salesman didn’t even know how financing worked. BlahBlahBlah - foolish Finance Guy took over from foolish 12 yr old salesman after 2d F-350 they found at another dealership got sold and found a 3rd truck. Foolish Finance Guy told me this 3rd truck was “the same” as the previous two F-350s except for the trim. I asked for a pic of the window sticker and he sent one. I attempted to zoom in and see all the details. So…let’s take a moment to say: SHAME ON ME for not double and triple and quadruple checking EVERY-xxxx-THING to make sure what I was getting is what I wanted. BUT!! The xxxx reason I go through the USAA Buyer Program is because I DO NOT want to be fighting that ridiculous “car dealership battle” where they’re trying to screw you over any way they possibly can and it’s up to you and your wits to be able to buy a vehicle and not get HOSED. I should NOT have given Autofair as much benefit of the doubt as I did. I gave Autofair so much benefit of the doubt because they were part of the USAA Buyer Program AND they offered me a really great trade-in value. Granted, my trade-in was pretty fantastic: 2014 Mini Clubman S with less than 14k miles on it. PRISTINE. It was a good xxxx trade-in. And, in the end, that is my one real regret in this entire disaster. I threw away most of the equity in my Mini because of what went down. We went back and forth with different tricks and pics of window stickers and finally found an F-350 at some other dealership that met my criteria and they put a spray in bedliner in it and I drove down in my Mini to trade it in and pick up the new truck. I never test drove the new truck. No one ever sat in the new truck with me and went over even one thing. No one even cracked open the new trucks’ operator’s manual. Nothing. I took my stuff out of The Mini. I did all the paperwork (including purchasing an extended warranty on the new truck for $3k) with their Finance Guy. They gave me the key and I walked out to the truck myself on the lot and climbed in and sat there for half an hour or so AND TAUGHT MYSELF HOW TO SYNC MY PHONE AND USE THE RADIO etc etc etc. xxx. Yeah. And I drove off the lot to Concord to take myself to a celebratory sushi dinner. But! Moritomo was closed between lunch and dinner and I had to sit in the parking lot and wait. And I was reviewing my User’s Guide…which is when I realized…I HAD DRIVEN OFF AUTOFAIR’S LOT WITH AN F-250. They sold me an F-250. When the truck I wanted and NEEDED was an F-350. And I sat there IN SHOCK for a few minutes. And then I tried to think HOW CAN I FIX THIS???? Because an F-250 could NOT do what I needed to do and I had just signed for a LOAN on that truck and I wasn’t sure I could even get approved for another to get OUT of this truck. But! I had been receiving emails from Faith’s Ford in Brattleboro, VT since I “triggered” The USAA Buyer Program. So I emailed Faith’s Ford, sitting there in the parking lot of Moritomo in Concord, NH. And they emailed me right back. And they had an F-350 on the lot. And they emailed me a copy of the invoice and quoted me a price (WHICH IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO GO WITH THE USAA BUYER PROGRAM). And I made an appointment for the next day and told them I had an “interesting” trade-in we could discuss when I got there. And I went to Faith’s Ford in Brattleboro, VT the next day with the F-250 and explained to them everything that happened and said that I wanted to get OUT of the F-250 and INTO the F-350. They sent me on a test drive of their F-350. I handed over to them all the paperwork from Autofair Ford. They gave me EVERY PENNY I spend on the F-250 as trade-in value on the F-350 and I drove away with that F-350. And THEN, the NEXT day, I emailed Autofair Ford to get a refund of the $3k extended warranty I had bought for the F-250. I INFORMED them that they had sold me an F-250 when what I wanted/needed was an F-350 and that I had traded in said F-250 for the F-350 I actually wanted/needed the very next day and now I wanted a refund of that extended warranty. And they demanded a copy/fax of the odometer statement of the truck THEY SOLD ME. Which I sent them. Then they demanded a copy/fax of the registration OF THE TRUCK THEY SOLD ME. THEY HAD THE MAIN COPY OF THAT REGISTRATION. All they’d given me was the copy of it. But I faxed them a pic of that copy. I still haven’t had confirmation that they have “processed” my warranty refund and will be sending me a check. Bottomline: I did not deal with even ONE professional, knowledgeable person at Autofair Ford. I would not trust any employee of Autofair Ford as far as I could throw them. I am not sure why I got such terrible treatment. Truly they cannot treat all their customers this way can they? How could they even be in business?? All I can think is that it was because I am a woman and/or perhaps it was because I was utilizing the USAA Buyer Program (a senior employee at Autofair actually BADMOUTHED the USAA Buyer Program TO ME when I was picking up the truck that was the WRONG truck)?? Either way. NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THE KIND OF xxxxxxxx I DID WHILST TRYING TO PURCASE A VEHICLE from Autofair Ford. I am a very knowledgeable and entirely qualified truck buyer who took her business elsewhere after being totally screwed over by Autofair Ford. In the end I, in effect, THREW AWAY all the equity in my trade-in by dealing with Autofair Ford. And that really pisses me off. I should have WALKED AWAY on Day One when the so-called USAA Rep shook my hand and disappeared…. You TOO should WALK AWAY. Learn from my mistakes. Want to buy a Ford truck?? Make the drive to Faith’s Ford in Brattleboro, VT. You will NOT be disappointed!! More
