Nowhere near the advertised price. In the end, it was actually 44% above the advertised price!! Then it had a low tire (10lbs), had a headlight out, needed an oil change immediately, had the airbag light on and i still don't know what it will cost to fix that or the noise in the steering. Bottom line, I will never do business with this outfit again. More
We had a very pleasant experience at Auto Spot of Mountain Lakes and considered a few cars that they had in their big inventory. We only bought this 2017 Subaru Outback yesterday, but we felt comfor Mountain Lakes and considered a few cars that they had in their big inventory. We only bought this 2017 Subaru Outback yesterday, but we felt comfortable working with Alex (and Antonio) to get the car we wanted - even with realizing that there are no returns once you drive it off the lot. Initially this made us nervous, but we took the car for inspection before buying it, which allayed our concerns and gave us a lot more information on what we were purchasing. Alex went with us to the independent inspection, was a great listener when we had questions, and he was supportive and not pushy at any point. So far, so good with our 'new' used car, we drove it 60+ miles home and around all the next day and it's an awesome addition for us. If things occur soon that we did not anticipate, we will return to this review and update, but we trust that we got a great car for a reasonable price and it was an easy and painless transaction. We will recommend Auto Spot to our friends when they are searching for a used auto. More

The finance manager Antonio put all powertrain, taxes, additional fees and the 10K negotiated price of the vehicle, on the PRICE OF VEHICLE LINE of the bill of sale invoice. Additional issues transpired during this transaction which will not be mentioned here. Dealer was notified of the Bill of Sale discrepancy. Rather that correcting the bill of sale for the negotiated price of 10K,, ANTONIO altered the agreed price by adding approximately $2100.to the price of the vehicle The car was advertised for 11,999) and he decreased the cancelled powertrain from $ 3731 that I was charge and said that they would return close to $2700. via check (NOT CREDIT MY CREDIT CARD) The only response was "We are allowed to change the price at ANY time. We have your title" Here is the new paperwork for you to sign, The title is erroneously marked as well. There is over $3000 difference plus taxes and fees on top of that. How does NJ allow such business practices? (Sidenote: there were 50 pounds of air in the tires, This indicates that they have level of knowledge about vehicles) The car is marked "AS IS" -accepted Altering the prices after negotiation - NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! Bought a car for our 17 year old son. Car had three wheel studs missing from the front wheels, which we discovered a few days later. They let him drive off the lot in an unsafe vehicle. Car had three wheel studs missing from the front wheels, which we discovered a few days later. They let him drive off the lot in an unsafe vehicle. I get that the vehicle was sold "as is, "buyer beware" and all that, but who would think to check the lug nuts / wheel studs? Either they knew and didn't tell us, or they didn't know. Maybe not illegal, but where's the integrity? Asked them what they'd do, and "upper management" said they wouldn't do anything. If they offered at least an apology and a few bucks toward the repairs, I'd have been OK. Looking here? Put your "I'm dealing with used cars salespeople" hat on, check -everything- and don't assume they'll be helpful after you leave the lot. More
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Experience with Alex at Auto Spot LLC I recently purchased a car from Auto Spot LLC in Mountain Lakes, NJ, and I had the pleasure of working with Alex. I purchased a 2016 Mazda 6 this past March 2024 and right from the get go, had some issues with it. They added $1800 to the advertised price, but Anthony was able to negotiate with me for a lower amount to c from the get go, had some issues with it. They added $1800 to the advertised price, but Anthony was able to negotiate with me for a lower amount to complete the sale. They were initially very helpful in when it came to finalize the purchase by staying open late and I wanted to repay them with a positive review. Unfortunately, the car was sold to me with a bad AC compressor and other issues (only one keyset, and not OEM) as well as a check engine light that literally popped on the moment after I drove off the lot. I was able to fix that issue (it was the coolant system not being bled when they did work on it) but the AC issue is a big deal, going to cost me $1024 to replace an AC compressor for a car that should have had all working parts mechanically. BUYER BEWARE! I don’t normally write on-line reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience to save you the trouble. I recently purchased a vehicle from the I don’t normally write on-line reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience to save you the trouble. I recently purchased a vehicle from the Mountain Lakes location and there were two main reasons that I wouldn’t purchase another vehicle from any Auto Spot location again. 1) The advertised prices are not real. Auto Spot posts low prices to get you in the door. HOWEVER their “package” fee can add a significant cost on top of the advertised price. The vehicle that I purchased was advertised for $13,000 which they wanted to add over $1800 of fees to ($14,800 is almost 15% higher than the posted $13,000). I was able to negotiate a lower price, but still paid much more than I had hoped after seeing the vehicle advertised on their website. 2) They will tell you that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle you are purchasing. However, you are out of luck if there is any major issue. While driving home I realized that the AC was not working properly. After I had the car inspected and checked out it had a leak that required a $2,000 repair. I was given a corporate email when I contacted Auto Spot complaining about the issue. When I detailed my concerns I got an email back from Steven Hernandez that said that the issue was not covered under the 3 month warranty that they provide and “we apologize for the inconvenience”. Auto Spot calls themselves a “Trusted Dealer”. This is not the way that a trusted dealer does business. More
This dealer is a scam I purchased a vehicle less then an hour ago and the car broke down on the road as I was driving it home ! I was on the New Jersey turnpike headed home and the vehicle just died started hour ago and the car broke down on the road as I was driving it home ! I was on the New Jersey turnpike headed home and the vehicle just died started bucking then shut off. No one is taking responsibility for the malfunction from the reviews I see online this isn’t the first time this has happened and they should be shut down for fraud! No one wants to give the owners contact information this they’ll smile in your face and be super nice and friendly then leave you high and dry when the vehicle breaks down this has been a nightmare ! Steer clear of this place ! More
Nelson was supposed to assist me with a Toyota crossover and send a car to come for me. He went back on his promise and word. All of this was via phone.
