Auto Showcase alters VIN numbers on documents I purchased a 2011 Cadillac ESV from this place. I drove all the way from Clinton, MD to Fallston to buy it. I asked for the Carfax report. Keith "Kin I purchased a 2011 Cadillac ESV from this place. I drove all the way from Clinton, MD to Fallston to buy it. I asked for the Carfax report. Keith "King" Bagwell showed me the Carfax report, which showed no accidents. I drove it home and when brakes were applied on the highway, the vehicle jumped lanes, and the brakes made a very strong burning smell. Because it was after hours, I sent Keith a text explaining the symptoms. The next day (Sunday) I decided to look at my paperwork, and noticed that Keith removed the Carfax report from my folder. I went to my truck to look up the VIN information, and found that the truck was a rental that was in a major collision. But I remembered the Carfax stating that it was privately owned. I sent Keith a text explaining that he lied about the history of the vehicle, and that I would be returning it on Monday. He responded by saying that they don't use Carfax reports...despite showing me the Carfax report. He then informed me that they had other SUV's coming in that week. And told me to drive it until something came in. I asked for the Carfax report, and Keith gave me the report that he removed from my paperwork folder. They put me in other SUV's for nearly 3 months, of which ALL had MAJOR problems that prevented me from taking them. Brent S. White (finance dept) gave me a warranty for the vehicle that I purchased. But I noticed him making changes to the paperwork. After General Motors refused to honor the warranty due to Auto Showcase using after market parts and installing some sort of "bypass." At this point, I went through all of my paperwork and realized that Auto Showcase gave me the Carfax report of a vehicle matching the description of my vehicle. But the VIN numbers didn't match! I looked at the warranty and noticed the area that Brent was writing on, was actually where he crossed out the VIN number of a 3rd vehicle matching the description of my vehicle. And he then hand printed the VIN of my truck above it! After much back and forth calling to Auto Showcase, the owner refused to resolve the issue. I then informed him, through management that his refusal would mean that I would have to seek legal representation. He didn't care. So I contacted the FTC, BBB, FBI internet Crimes Division, MVA Fraud Division, and the Office of the Maryland Attorney General. Officially, Auto Showcase informed at least one of these entities that they weren't interested in resolving this problem. Despite my having physical proof that they used a false Carfax report to misrepresent the vehicle that I was sold. And the 3rd VIN on the warranty. In fact, there are close to over 6,000 miles difference from the warranty and the odometer release form. I am now retaining a law firm, and will file both civil and criminal charges against all individuals that knowingly defrauded me, and Auto Showcase as a whole! More
