We bought a car from Auto Maxx in June. Don't be fooled by them as we were. They seem like the nicest people until you want them to fix something that they knew was already wrong with the vehicle. W fooled by them as we were. They seem like the nicest people until you want them to fix something that they knew was already wrong with the vehicle. When we asked them to fix it they didn't get back to us for a week. Then when we took the car in, they wouldn't let us near it when they 'looked' at it and said there was nothing wrong with it, but it was still doing the same thing when we left. I will tell as many people as I can how rude and arrogant and nasty these people are and to not buy from them. They never even called to tell us that our tags were in and they had them for over a month. I have never had such poor customer service at a car dealership! Once they get their money they are done with you. More
First thing wrong was we had to wait 20+minuets for someone to help us, and the first question out of her mouth was how we were going to pay for the car. And how much we could spend (this is before we someone to help us, and the first question out of her mouth was how we were going to pay for the car. And how much we could spend (this is before we looked at any cars). And never once did she even bother to ask if we wanted to test drive anything. She just kept insisting that we come in side and talk numbers, I knew right then she was an a** but I had over 3,000 dollars in cash and wanted to buy a car so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and went in. Well I went inside and we started talking numbers and I caught her/ them (the dealer) in a lie and being dissipative. (imagine that a used car dealer being dissipative) she told me they had disclosed the Kelly blue book price in there add (KBB going forward) which was $4,990, I told her it was wrong because I looked it up before I went to look at the car. She said it was right, I again told her it was not and told her what the REAL KBB was $3,737 A thousand from there listed price and $1,200 from there so called KBB disclosure on Cars.com. She again instead the KBB THEY put in under the sellers comments was correct. so I said let’s look it up right now together and see who is right, she of course said no and I asked why not. and just like a 10 year old she said “because I know I am right” then her husband (the owner) came out and Rudely asked if he could answer any more of my questions and I told him he did not have to come out here and be rude and that no I did not want to talk to him because I was talking to her. (Apparently his wife) he got pissed and told me to get xxxx out of here, so I said a few expletives and said I will gladly take my 3,000 cash else were and walked out. If you are a smart informed shopper don’t go to AutoMax. All they want are blind uninformed people who the can feed their xxxxxxxx to. When a smart informed shopper comes in, they kick you out rather than negotiate with you. The web site cars.com has a tab that links to KBB, that’s how smart they are (not) or how stupid they think their customers are. (Try it before they take it down and you the reader will see who is right) and when you get done entering the dealer’s car information. it comes up to, guess what??? $3,737 and that’s only if it’s is in excellent condition. AT best this white 1996 accord lx 4dr sedan 2.2L I4 was good to very good which would mean its value was even less than $3,737 Vehicle Conditions "Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks great, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. It should pass a smog inspection. The engine compartment should be clean, with no fluid leaks. The paint is glossy and the body and interior are free of any wear or visible defects. There is no rust. The tires are the proper size and match and are new or nearly new. A clean title history is assumed. This is an exceptional vehicle. "Very Good" means this car has minor wear or visible defects on the body and interior but is in excellent mechanical condition, requiring only minimal reconditioning. 23% of all cars we value meet this criteria. It has little to no paint and bodywork and is free of rust. Its clean engine compartment is free of fluid leaks. The tires match and have 75% or more of tread. It also has a clean title history, with most service records available, and will pass safety and smog inspection. "Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. The paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. In states where rust is a problem, this should be very minimal, and a deduction should be made to correct it. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A clean title history is assumed. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at full retail price; however, any major reconditioning costs should be deducted from the value. Most recent-model cars owned by consumers fall into this category. More
