I bought a car from Auto Max on 02/05 2020 it broke down 02/28 2020 I called them the same day and was told they would tow and fix it 4 days later my car is parked in the parking lot. I would never recommend this place. I've been with out a car since September 20 roughly. I've been placed in 2 faulty cars that both had MAJOR ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES! ONE EVEN STARTED TO SMOKE WHEN car since September 20 roughly. I've been placed in 2 faulty cars that both had MAJOR ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES! ONE EVEN STARTED TO SMOKE WHEN I CRANKED IT while the salesman was standing there!!! They stated that I can't get out of the contract and I still have to make a payment on the loan. I don't have a car, I've lost my job because of this and now I can't even go to interviews. I feel victimized and taken advantage of. I have reported this company as well. Both cars put my son and I in danger and I would not trust this company at all!!!!!!! It's such a scam and headache More
I bought a car from Dexter at the automaxx on crowley road. I was communicating with him on text. He sent me pics of the car. The one thing my wife ask is if the car was smoke free. He assured me it did not smell like smoke or have any burns in it. So i go to look at the car. They covered the smell up with something. When i got there it didn't smell like smoke. So i drove it. Its push button start so he put the key fob in the console. After we got back i noticed a spot on the door panel and the seat. He saud he would have it fixed. And he would not let me touch the key fob. I didn't think much about it. So i ended up taking the car. I soon realized the key fob would not lock or unlock the doors. And the smell of smoke came back. And the buttons on the steering wheel for the stereo would not work. I text Dexter. I got no response. The next day my wife called the dealership. They said i should have looked it over a little better. And they were not responsible for any of it even after Dexter said they would fix the 2 other problems. I have had the car a week and have already had to put freon in it because the a/c stopped working. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car from these people. They are crooks and will not do anything thay say they will. More

Listened to what we could afford. Showed us two vehicles. Everything was going okay. We even all had a good laugh when we said "Now you're not going to give us the worst one in the lot are you?" And we were told "No of course not." That was a bunch of CRAP! After everything we went through we for sure ended up with the worst vehicle on the lot and I'm devastated since I liked it so much. So what happened? I'll tell you. (You'll also be able to read it in the papers since I'll be taking my complaint to every news channel. Paper. Radio station. That will listen) (Please keep in mind I have been in contact with them through every single thing that I am about to list) First night I had it - headlight went out. I had to replace it myself (eh. Not a big deal right? Easy fix) Third day - reverse light assembly needed replaced from water damage. (Ok...it happens I suppose... dont know how it wasn't caught at the dealership but ok) 1 week having it - shifts hard. Doesnt idle correctly. Took it to a shop THEY told me to take it to. I was told it was perfectly fine. No issues. Drives like new. 2 weeks later- my car makes a HUGE bang noise. Tries to stall on me several times in 1 day. Engine light comes on. Bad bad smell. Again. They tell me where to take it. I follow directions. I was without my car for 4 days. 3 in which I was waiting to know what was wrong. 1 was waiting to see if they'd even cover it. They would not cover it (even though it was confirmed that this issue should have been caught when I took it in the FIRST time). I asked to speak to who was in charge. This is where I became completely disgusted in this place. A man named Steve got on the phone and was the most disrespectful person I have ever encountered. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect. Being told I was dumb for not talking directly to him. Tell me that if I didnt stop talking hed hang up on me. That it's not their responsibility. And yelling at me just for trying to explain where I was coming from. Needless to say I had to pay for the repair myself. Fast forward another 2 weeks - fill my tank up for a trip. My car wont turn on. When it did, it instantly stalled out. Engine light on AGAIN. And driving so rough I thought it was going to break down. Took it to a shop THEY told me to ... again... and what do you know. Another repair they wont pay for. I've had this car for only a few months and I've already paid $500+ in repairs. Not to mention - my windshield needs replaced due to excessive rust - paint chipping off everywhere- rust and THOUSANDS of nasty scratches that had been covered up by the dealership (dont tell me they weren't because I saw none of it when looking the car over and they magically appeared after 1 car wash). The AC pump clutch is now out which they wont cover the diagnostic for that and no shop will listen to me on that being what's wrong without them doing their own diagnostic that, I would have to pay for. The entire car jiggles. The back two tires are ripping apart. It needs new breaks. Ball joints. Tyrods. An alignment. You cant tell me this dealership had NO idea about any of this before giving the car to us!! We were given a TERRIBLE AND DANGEROUS VEHICLE under FALSE information! I was disrespected beyond forgiveness and I will not stop until 1 this issue is taken care of appropriately or 2 this place is closed down. For the amount were paying each month, we should be much more respected than this. They were oh so nice and eager to get us an "amazing new car" but once those papers were signed they did a complete 180 and dont care one bit about their customers. Their "warranty" also is a load of crap and covers next to nothing. BE WARNED! More
