I would highly recommend using Richard Walsh and Auto Locators of Texas if you are in the market for a new car. Richard made the experience of buying my new car extremely easy and enjoyable. My boyfriend (now-husband) purchased a car from Auto Locators of Texas several years ago and has always talked about the positive experience. I recently had the opportunity to work with Auto Locators Locators of Texas several years ago and has always talked about the positive experience. I recently had the opportunity to work with Auto Locators of TX this year to purchase a 2012 GMC Acadia SLT. We were blown away with the friendliness of the staff and the owner, Richard. The business feels extremely well-run and organized. They are NOT pushy or "salesy" whatsoever. It feels like you are purchasing a car from a family member. The most annoying part of buying a car (new or used) is dealing with the sales people...getting stuck in a salesperson's office while the cheesy manager comes in and introduces themselves. Auto Locators of TX is completely different. You can view their inventory online and come in to test-drive a car if you wish. If you are looking for a specific vehicle, their specialty is locating cars, and they do this through the use of auctions. Richard will email you the cars that are available that week and will obtain the car you are looking for. We were able to test drive the car by ourselves. We noticed a small scratch in the leather, and they fixed it for us easily. Their prices are very affordable - less than a dealership & similar to buying from a private party direct (i.e. craigslist). Our car came with a CARFAX report as well. The financing process was easy and when we showed up yesterday to sign the papers, everything was organized & ready to go. We bought the car in about 20 minutes. Richard personally took the time to show us the car's cool features - like power liftgate, back-up cam & navigation, etc. One last thing that I should mention is that they can upgrade their cars w/ options like Navigation, Back-up Cams, etc - they can also tint windows - again, their prices are less than a dealership. I would absolutely recommend Auto Locators to friends or family. They are a pretty cool company, and I don't see myself ever going to a dealership. Ever! More
Let me just say that I have purchased 4 vehicles from Richard, as well as had him sell one of mine. He does a great job at finding the right vehicle we need, plus he and Amber go the extra mile! That's Richard, as well as had him sell one of mine. He does a great job at finding the right vehicle we need, plus he and Amber go the extra mile! That's not seen very much in the auto industry. We are very happy and always recommend our friends to them. They don't over charge, and offer great service. I think you'll be very happy with AutoLocators. More
I recently bought my 3rd car from Richard at Auto Locators of Texas. He has also sold 2 of mine. I fully believe RIchard is an honest guy and does his best to get fair prices both in selling my cars Locators of Texas. He has also sold 2 of mine. I fully believe RIchard is an honest guy and does his best to get fair prices both in selling my cars and finding me the one I want. Because I had some specifications that were harder to find on this last vehicle, it took some time for Richard to find it. I appreciated that he consistently communicated with me what he was finding, prices, and his opinions about the vehicles. I respect Richard's opinion and so patiently waited until he found my car that met all my requirements. I will do business again with Richard and have also recommended Auto Locators to my friends. I've bought three suburbans from Auto Locators over the past 4 years. I've never been unhappy. Their process is very friendly and laid back; their prices are terrific. I would highly recommend Auto Loca past 4 years. I've never been unhappy. Their process is very friendly and laid back; their prices are terrific. I would highly recommend Auto Locators and as a 50 something, I've dealt with plenty of dealerships over the years. Judging from some of the other comments on this site, I'd offer two comments. First, these are used cars. Used cars are never risk free, especially more than a year or two old, or when the car has more mileage. Second, trading in a vehicle is always problematic. You can't fault a dealer for trying not to lose money on a trade-in. Bottom line, if you know what you are looking for, stay with a newer model car and don't need to trade-in a vehicle, you can can a heck of a deal through Auto Locators of Texas. More
This place is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. My girlfriend and I went on the search to find a new car for her and she decided she wanted a two door Nissan Altima Coupe. Well we found one that appea girlfriend and I went on the search to find a new car for her and she decided she wanted a two door Nissan Altima Coupe. Well we found one that appeared to be in good shape. So we went and checked it out and took it around for a test drive. Tested every single button in the car to make sure it worked. and sure enough she liked the car, so I did a thorough looking over and through the car; under the hood, under the car, making sure no frame damage, etc. I came across a section in the door which had some slight over spray on it, barley noticable to some one who doesnt know anything about painting. then also half of the pinstriping tape (dealer install stuff) on that side of the car was missing. So I put two and two together and knew that whether or not it was on the carfax or not, this car had been in some kind of accident. They refused to accept this, whatever; the car was still in good condition. Told them they needed to remove the rest of the pinstriping or re-do it before taking delivery of the car. Everything was fine and dandy. Then they decided to low-ball us on our trade-in (typical used car dealer stuff) saying that kia's dont exactly bring in the customers they want to deal with...(um what?) and that because they arent going to keep it on the lot and sell retail they will just be taking it to auction. Again, not a big deal. Signed all the paper work with the agreed price of the altima and the trade on her kia. Walked out 30 minutes later. Skip forward 4 days, and we get in the car after work and turn the a/c on and it isnt as cold as normal. We keep driving and its getting hotter and hotter, until the point where it is just fanning hot air out of the engine bay. Now we are irritated. So we drive it home in 100degree heat with no a/c at all. Once home we park in the the driveway and i get my guages and check the freon pressures, Almost no pressure. So basically these guys chocked it full of freon before selling it, knowing there was an issue with the a/c. Next day, we call the receptionist and tell them there is an issue with the a/c and this needs to be taken care of and that it is completely unacceptable. So they told us to bring the car in and they will take care of it. Well they said they took it to "their" mechanic who is not located on site and reports to us the compressor is bad. Now at this point I am royally pissed off. So the girl amber comes back with, "well rich says that he will only cover half of the cost to repair because the air conditioning in your kia is out" i asked for the keys to the kia to check this out, and sure enough I turn the car on and cold a/c within seconds. I come back in and told them they were full of it and that this is ridiculous. We took the Nissan and left after having waited an hour for them to bring the car from their "mechanic" I would NEVER EVER in a million years recommend that anyone go there. They are sketchy and shady and in no way pleasant to deal with. They would not tell us the name of their mechanic who would be doing any kind of work and that the half of the repair cost would goto him. I would never trust any body to do work on my cars that affiliates himself with these people. More
My husband and I have bought 2 cars from Richard in the last 4 years. Both Infinitis and both in great condition. The last car we purchased was an Infiniti M37X, fully loaded. We scoped out other dealers last 4 years. Both Infinitis and both in great condition. The last car we purchased was an Infiniti M37X, fully loaded. We scoped out other dealers to do our due diligence and we found that no one could beat Richard's price for the amount of car they were offering. This dealership is extremely laid back with a very comfortable environment. No haggling, no pressure and easy purchase process. Amber was informative about the vehicle we were interested in and very patient in dealing with all our requests and questions. She was great to work with! What it really boils down to is the fact that I trust the quality of car this dealer offers and the information they provide. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from ALTTX. More
Very very friendly and helpful.....very hard to believe the negative reviews. I bought a 2007 Jeep from Auto locators 1) ...they offered many upgrade choices at severely discounted prices using their the negative reviews. I bought a 2007 Jeep from Auto locators 1) ...they offered many upgrade choices at severely discounted prices using their wholesale costs. (wheels, tires, bumbers, lift kits, etc...) I actually looked them up online and found that they are much cheaper to buy from Autolocators. 2) I live 3 hours away and they were willing to let me take the vehicle home and ship me the upgraded wheels tires I purchased when they arrived or hold them for pick up at my convenience 3) 2 days after i purchased the vehicle I lowered the soft top and found some broken parts ($500+ for me to buy parts online) I made one phone call and Auto locators ordered the parts, had them within a few days....I didnt ask them to replace they offered to w/ no expense to me. 4) I returned to the dealership where the parts were replaced same day and new wheels and tires installed free of charge. Ive purchased many cars....actually one of the best experiences Ive had and I will be back for the next one. More
