This dealership adds a mandatory $4,999 charge for useless extras allegedly already included with the car. They claim this fee is non-negotiable. Since I have no need for Scotchguard, Clearcoat, Lo-Ja useless extras allegedly already included with the car. They claim this fee is non-negotiable. Since I have no need for Scotchguard, Clearcoat, Lo-Jack, or anything else included in this unnecessary fee and I only wanted to purchase the car at the advertised listed price As-Is, with nothing else included except the tax, registration, smog, and applicable fees, I refused to budge. They would not remove the $4,999 package of extras, so that either I pay a large cash down payment or use a trade-in to bring the loan to value amount in line with my preferred lender's underwriting conditions or else be offered financing the vehicle with their lender who will likely offer an outrageous APR with ridiculous terms since there is larger assumed risk in the loan based on the high LTV. Sound predatory to you? More
