So I’ve been looking to acquire a Dodge Charger R/T Max for some time. I found a great dealership in New Jersey that delivers excellent customer oriented service. The overall car buying experience here has for some time. I found a great dealership in New Jersey that delivers excellent customer oriented service. I had a great experience from the very beginning. I met with Bob the owner, tried to haggle for a car deal which didn’t happen left but realized he deals with very unique cars, and decided the price he was with Bob the owner, tried to haggle for a car deal which didn’t happen left but realized he deals with very unique cars, and decided the price he was offering was a very competitive price for the Camaro I was interested in. So the next day over lunch I called him back and we made the deal. Came in picked it up and everyone has been extra nice, my experience has been a five star experience. I purchased a very commemorative model SS 1 of only 353 Convertibles made. Looking forward to jumping in it and riding with the top down. More

I had somewhat descent email responses from Mr Wolfinger. I was interested in a 2014 Dodge Charger. It it silver/gray, and has about 76k miles on it. I notified Me Wolfinger early enough I would be coming I was interested in a 2014 Dodge Charger. It it silver/gray, and has about 76k miles on it. I notified Me Wolfinger early enough I would be coming last Saturday to check the cars status, and test drive it providing it was in good shape. I also stated I am a person not interested in playing games. I know what I want, and if it passed my examination, I would buy it on the spot. It can't get any easier than that. He advised me to call before coming, which I did. Upon my arrival, Mr Wolfinger was busy with another customer. Someone else assisted me. The very first thing I did was plug in my code reader. There were no warning lights out on the dash. I had stated through email, this is my first test. I know something about these cars most don't. Certain error codes will not erase until addressed. The reader displayed an error code of U0002. This error is serious. It means there is one if several possible problems. The car has a problem concerning the transmission, engine, ECM, PCM, or a combination of those error types. It's also could be a simplev communication problem within the bus, but unlikely. I informed the person assisting me that information. I stated I was not going to test drive the vehicle because I didn't want to destroy the car. He stated he doubted that would happen. I asked him if he knew what s U0002 error means. He answered no. One has to ask why he would doubt something about when he doesn't know what is means.Itvaldo means someone (seller or dealership) erased the engine codes. The U0002 error will not go away until the problem is addressed. Whoever erased the codes made it that much harder to repair the problem. Having the U0002 error code present means the car will not pass inspection. I suspect the engine codes would have shown themselves during the drive to my house. Regardless, the vehicle is guaranteed to pass NJ inspection, and came with s limited warranty. I made sure he had my phone number and wanted to know if this problem would be fixed. If so, I would be happy to return. He stated I would hear from Mr Wolfinger by Tuesday, and there nothing he could do on Saturday. I understand that. Excluding the U0002 error code, I like the vehicle. But,I haven't test driven the car. I found it interesting that while I was outside, a blonde haired woman came outside to observe the interaction, wearing a mask. When I went inside to provide my information, her mask was removed. Based upon her actions, I assume she is an employee. I'm guessing that the employees are not interested with selling cars. Most people would have at least suggested an alternate vehicle. That did not occur. In essence, I took 2 hours out of my day and received roughshod treatment. I doubt Mr Wolfinger will be calling me. Assuming I receive no communication, tomorrow I will stop vehicle searching and repair my vehicle. I prefer my 1998 Formula to most cars, and I have zero interest wasting anymore of my time. Here we are on Tuesday, and I've heard nothing, except from someone who placed a false Google review in my name. I was also not pleased to see a portion of the people inside not adhering to CDC policies, and NJ mask mandates. For a frame of reference, I was there in August of 2020. Nobody ever called back or returned my emails. My advice is to stay far away from this place. Update- I visited the dealership on August 22nd. I received an email from someone at the dealership on the 25th asking how they did. I pretty much explained the above. The salesman did not contact me until I left a negative Yelp review. This is what I received; first and foremost i had all good intentions to respond back to you our shops earliest appointment to check out your request was Wednesday at 9:00 i did not get back to you because i did not have a update.it would be my pleasure to assist you with any questions.. our dealership had done a fast scan on it and shored a stored code which you had mentioned many things.we only want yo confirm with our service facility the exact reason for that. we were unaware of this issue at the time you were here. we will get back to you with an update as soon as possible.... the owner of the dealership wanted to know why you would post a negative review while we were trying to assist you? ----------------------------------------- My response was; I appreciate the condescending tone in your grossly, poor excuses. It's Thursday, August 27th. I was there on Saturday August 22nd. On Tuesday August 26th, in the morning, a manager reached out to ask me how the dealership performed. I provided him the same details found in the review. I also sent you an email requesting an update. You state you had every intention of getting back to me. But in all this time you couldn't even strike a few keys on your keyboard? There was no time for you or anyone else at the dealership to contact me and pass along any update? I made every effort to contact you. You also state your dealership did a scan on the stored codes, and decided to ignore that code. I'm sure you're aware that the inspection station will reject the vehicle if any code pops up on their more elaborate code reader. Why then would your mechanic(s) ignore any serious code? I told you before, I know something about these cars most don't. People who are unfamiliar with them don't realize that erasing codes which light the engine trouble light make the car seem to be free of fault. The U0002 error code is generated and stored permanently until the initial problem is addressed. I believe no one thought anyone would bring a code reader to a test drive. And ignoring the U0002 error code was deliberate, to say the least. Based upon what I've seen so far, it's possible that's not exactly what happened. Let me see if I understand you correctly; your dealership owner wants to know why I left a negative review? Assuming he/she can read, pass this along with the review to the owner. BTW, the road to xxxx is paved with good intentions. Your intention to contact me is really implausible. If you were going to contact me, then you had several days to do so. Or, perhaps you believe the dealership has a way for me to know what you're thinking. The rest of the issues are in the review. ----------------------------------------- I did follow up with an email on Saturday asking what the mechanic found. After all, he did have it for 3 days. I have yet to hear back. It's August 31st. However, I'm pretty sure they aren't going to answer my emails or questions. Even though they were originally dealing with me,they are quite willing to sell the car to anyone else. I tested that theory today, and have the proof to back it up. Final update. This review was not immediately posted. DealerRater methodologies allow time for resolution, or dealership ecplaination. I understand that process. At the same time, consumers are not aware of the review. I have no idea if the dealership responded to any inquiries to DeslerRater. I know they have not made any attempt to resolve any issues with me. I only hope they fixed the problem before they sell it to anyone. Additionally, I have read online this dealership actually pushed people to provide reviews while purchasing vehicles. I'm glad I didn't do any business with this company. More
