I have purchased two vehicles from Auto Boutique Alvin in less than 6 months. The first one I bought was a 2021 Ford Expedition for $42,000. Within three days of leaving the lot the check engine light came o less than 6 months. The first one I bought was a 2021 Ford Expedition for $42,000. Within three days of leaving the lot the check engine light came on and it was the catalytic converter. I call up and at first the sales person gives me the run around then I get ahold of the Service Manager. Who was great when it came to customer service, but it took us 4 times of going up there and them saying it is fixed, leaving and it coming back on within 24 hours in order to get it fixed. Fast forward 6 months later - check engine light comes on and guess what it is.... the catalytic converter. We had bought a second car from them 2 weeks ago (before the light came on again) I only did so because I thought the issue on my wife's car had been fixed the right way (it clearly wasn't considering it's been less than 6 months and its acting up again.) and this time it is a 2022 Ram 1500 Classic with 40k miles on it. Here we are two weeks later and the Truck is broken down in my driveaway. I called the SVC manager a week ago to let him know that both vehicles were messing up again and never heard back. How is it that two cars with less than 50k miles bought from them are both having such detrimental issues? I'm going to have to pay $800 to fix the truck + the towing fees in order to fix a car I bought TWO WEEKS AGO. Let alone the catalytic converter on the 2021 Expedition. How do you have these kinds of issues when you have bought 80k worth of vehicles from them in less than six months? I will be going to the BBB with this. Run Away -- They Sell Lemons, not cars. More
Advertised one price. At closing, they added $1000 for “already installed lojack & paint” fees. Why $1000 more when dealership already knew that and wanted $1000 more???? At closing, they added $1000 for “already installed lojack & paint” fees. Why $1000 more when dealership already knew that and wanted $1000 more???? I expect to pay only TT&L over price —— not “other things” a dealership has done to the car that they don’t advertise in their pricing. Deal was done before 7:00pm. I’m paying by check. Place closes at 7:00pm. They weren’t able to process a cash purchase until well after 8:00pm. Car disappeared from my sight during this over hour timeframe. I had the car inspected by an outside mechanic before I purchased. Nothing was noted about bad tires. I’ve owned the car less than a month, had a blow out and replaced all 4 tires. Wish I had been able to see the car during the hour it was missing…. Nothing about the experience makes me want to purchase there again. More
They invited me to come and see the car, which I did. I bought the car, and I was very impressed by the people at Auto Boutique Texas for their professionalism and hospitality. Pros: Price. Cons: Everything else. I knew the car I wanted. We discussed ahead of time. Unfortunately, I had to have conversations with THREE different Cons: Everything else. I knew the car I wanted. We discussed ahead of time. Unfortunately, I had to have conversations with THREE different people. First Peter, then Brianna, then finally Edwin. And none of them had a clue as to what was going on. I'd respond to peter via text/email and he'd get back to me a day later with a completely unrelated reply (are you still interested in this car?). Enter Brianna. I get a little hopeful because she actually sends pics and video of the car, clearly knows more. But boy oh boy, you'd think they don't even care about selling the car given that the average response time was a day. Even though I'd send multiple messages. FINALLY Edwin calls me ... looking for Peter. I tell him he has the wrong number then connect the dots and call back. He's ... at least he's responsive. In a timely manner. But I was clear about my car trade in being a lease, yet I get there and it's like some giant surprise. Long story short(er): I was there FOUR HOURS. For ONE car. Not test driving options, not negotiating, just sitting there by myself. With no communication. No nothing. I didn't even know there was coffee until someone made fun of me for falling asleep. I drove down 3.5 hours for this car, took longer to get the car then to drive down. You know what would be good if you're gonna keep someone there for 4 hours? Maybe SOME kind of food option. Snack? none. Vending machine? nope. ANY option? negative. I did occasionally get a smiling "oh we're working on it" from the manager (who, while he pissed me off by ignoring my situation, was definitely good at his job with others I give him that). But I absolutely love my car. It's basically new, and the price was the best i could find anywhere. So as long as you've got nowhere to be... and maybe some snacks... and a pillow... yeah you're good. But if you want a quick and efficient experience with staff that you feel actually wants you there... look elsewhere. More
