They didn't even come close to selling my car in sell my car, which I posted on CL in less than 90 days. They needed $250 before they they started. They didn't even come close to selling my car in 90 days. In fact, I never heard from them again. TOTAL SCAM!!! They also violate cragslists policies by contacting individual consumers. I never checked the box "Okay to contact by others". This has been reported to CL along with the proper authorities. More

This is just an addendum to all the negative reviews listed here. I received a call from not Matt or Brad but from Daniel. It was a voice mail on my cell and was the same spiel as in the other reviews listed here. I received a call from not Matt or Brad but from Daniel. It was a voice mail on my cell and was the same spiel as in the other reviews...for a small fee, he assured me that he could sell my car as he had buyers wanting vehicles like mine that were willing to pay my price. As soon as I listened to the message I knew it was a scam so I ignored it. Daniel called back a week later and left another message too assuring me that for a small fee he could sell my car. The only reason I have added this review is to add the name Daniel to the list. Daniel must be the "name of the month" for July. More

For all of you selling your car ,boat, etc. I had received a few calls to my cell from an unknown number and today "matt" left me a message not "Brad" now is "Mat"with an 866 number with the same xx received a few calls to my cell from an unknown number and today "matt" left me a message not "Brad" now is "Mat"with an 866 number with the same xx story about selling my vehicle. My car is on Ebay so he must have gotten the info from Ebay the Co name "Longwood Inc" again. First thing I did is to check them out and I read all the complaints about them. I was not going to call them,I know better. Just wanted to add information on the subject.Best thing to do if you want to get on their case is ask them for their local phone and address and then check their corporation with the state to see if they are legitimate. Also ask for full name of owners. If they are legitimate they will provide this information.Good luck. More
I almost fell for this scam also. I received a phone message yesterday from the one and only Brad. He stated that he had called a few times and decided he would just leave a message this time. He said message yesterday from the one and only Brad. He stated that he had called a few times and decided he would just leave a message this time. He said he noticed I had a pontoon boat listed on-line and from the description of it, he could guarantee they would sell it for a small fee. First of all, I don't even have my boat listed on-line, It's running in my local newspaper. I had been receiving a lot of "dead" phone calls which when I answered, there was total silence so I hung up. So after listening to Brad's phone message from yesterday, I decided to respond today. I got a female and when I asked for Brad, she told me he was on the line with another customer but she could help me. She went through the entire speech regarding either giving them $149 or the $249 upfront and in either case they guarantee they would sell my pontoon. In fact she seemed in such a rush for me to transfer them the funds since it's the Memorial Day weekend and she claimed she already had 7 buyers for my boat. I told her I wouldn't have the funds in my account to transfer to her until next week. Right away I could hear a deep breath and a huge let-down sigh on her end. I told her I would get back with her next week and would ask for Brad. She told me to call her directly at her own phone number, which she gave me. I was actually considering going through with this with hopes of selling my boat. Then I decided just for the heck of it, I would search on-line for the company Longwood Inc, which is who Brad told me he was with. Thank goodness I did. After reading all these negative reviews I am so glad I didn't go through with the money transfer. This is most definitely a scam and something should be done about stopping Brad & Co. from taking money from people under false pretences. They thrive on stealing money from people who are vulnerable and desperate to sell their item, knowing their rehearsed speech sounds so good to us sellers. They tell us exactly what we want to hear and then steal from us. More
Hey first off i have to agree with everyone. this is a scam and i noticed it the first time he called. when you pick up the phone nothing is said but when you let it go to voicemail it will leave that voi scam and i noticed it the first time he called. when you pick up the phone nothing is said but when you let it go to voicemail it will leave that voicemail automatically. but my main reason for writing this review is to tell yall this. its NOT only on craigslist. i only have my phone number posted in the american classifieds. and my email in all other places. so in summary, beware with whereever you post your phone number. craigslist is not the only place scammers love to search. Wow. I just received a call from well known Brad. As soon as I heard the voice mail, I smelled a rat. It was a programmed call. I had just listed my vehicle yesterday and when it said he had been trying for as I heard the voice mail, I smelled a rat. It was a programmed call. I had just listed my vehicle yesterday and when it said he had been trying for weeks, I laughed. It is a sin that scammers like this exist. People who are desparate in these tough times call and lose money with upfront fees for something non-existant. Once again, another scammer More
SCAM!!!!! Brad called my husband's phone claiming that he had tried many times to get ahold of him. Which was a lie. My husband didn't answer because it was a unknown number. So we listened to the voicemail had tried many times to get ahold of him. Which was a lie. My husband didn't answer because it was a unknown number. So we listened to the voicemail claiming he could sell our car for a small fee. So I told my husband that would be ok because we really needed to sell the car quick. He called the number that he left on the voicemail, and he got a female on the phone. I guess my husband told her that he was in the military and she was telling him that one of her brothers was at the post that we are fixing to be going to and the other brother was deployed. (I think she was just trying to get on my husband's good side). So, she got my husband to agree to giving them $149 up front and then she was gonna email us so I would know where to send a pic of the car. Then he tells me how the conversation went, and I just knew it was a scam because they got the money up front. I was agreeing to pay them after they sold the car... Then we looked up their company and we found this website. I called them demanding my money back NOW and they refused. Because my husband agreed to it being nonrefundable. If he would've paid $249 then it would've been refundable. LIES!! They didn't even email us...Turns out they had some crazy email address for us. On purpose I'm sure. I have never heard of the website and they claim that 8 million people visit their website every week. Their website is: www.thebiglot.com SCAM!!!!! More
