Phillip was a great salesman. Not too pushy. But very informative My issues are with the finance department and follow up with the "free car wash and gas fill up." 1) The man who helped us in finan informative My issues are with the finance department and follow up with the "free car wash and gas fill up." 1) The man who helped us in finance literally lied about the extended warranty price - feel free to view your "footage" to verify what I'm saying is true. 2) He also took $100 cash at the signing - stating this gave us a "cheaper" deal. It didn't affect the deal at all - another lie. 3)When I called to complain/ask questions about the possibility of removing the extended warranty from our loan I NEVER received a return phone call from finance. (Phillip called me and texted to see if I had heard from them, saying he let them know several times) 4) When I drove 1.5 hours to get my free tank of gas and car wash (after making sure the time I would be there would be ok and being told it would take no longer than 30 min) I went through 4 different employees trying to make me "find" my email with the survey they sent - I never got an email (due to the wrong email being in the system - and I NEVER gave them that email) And, I wasn't told I'd have to fill out a survey. At no time (even after I requested) did any employee offer to simply take my email address and resend it?! I felt like I was being "blamed" for not having gotten this email. Again, Phillip was great - but I have nothing else good to say about this transaction. More

Service Department Dishonest My wife and I have been driving Nissan vehicles for the past 17 years. The vehicles and dealerships had been excellent, until we moved to Illinois and My wife and I have been driving Nissan vehicles for the past 17 years. The vehicles and dealerships had been excellent, until we moved to Illinois and began dealing with Auffenberg Nissan. In early 2019, we took our 2016 Murano (purchased new from Auffenberg) in for routine service and reported that the driver's side seat heater was operating intermittently. Without having either a Mechanic or Technician check out the vehicle, the Service Adviser informed my wife upon vehicle pick-up that they could not duplicate the problem. This was not a complete surprise as the heater had been operating intermittently. The vehicle was within 3000 miles of the warranty expiration at the time. No mention of the problem we reported was included in the final service report, a fact that we didn't pick-up until too late. Well, the seat heater finally failed completely in early January 2020. Obviously we were beyond the warranty by then. When we took the vehicle in for repair, we were told that the vehicle was out-of-warranty and we would have to pay the full repair cost. We informed the (different) Service Adviser that we had reported the problem while the vehicle was still under warranty. Without the previous Service Adviser's mention of the problem in the earlier service report, we had no record of the problem on file. (Very convenient for the Dealership, with only 3000 miles to go on the warranty.) Well, I authorized their Technician to check the seat heater to see what the problem was ($145 Tech charge). The answer came back as a failed seat heater control board that would cost another $1,400 to repair. The total cost would have been $1,545. I did not authorize the repair and chose to call the Service Manager instead. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life with the man virtually calling me a liar on several occasions. I called NissanUSA, and they agreed to an 80/20 split - without any haggling. Auffenberg it seems can't do simple math either. They charged me $418 ($145+$273) instead of $309 (20% x $1,545). I can buy a car anywhere. We have all of our vehicles serviced by the Dealerships and see the Service Department Teams regularly. If I can't trust the Service Department, I'll buy elsewhere. He was patient, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and professional. I felt comfortable asking questions and wasn't made to feel uncomfortable for asking any type of question. He was very thorough and didn't rush through the explanation of how the car functioned.. Mainly...he'd done his homework! A+ for understanding how the Murano worked and the differences between the 2018 and 2019 models.. First off, the sales manager (Brian) PERSONALLY came to discuss financing options. He recommended other options, but wasn't pushy and I truly felt he had my best interest at heart. Once an option was chosen, the rest was a piece of cake. Everything was explained in full detail and questions answered to my satisfaction.. More
