A Great Experience I didn't plan to buy a new car that day. My two boys are old enough that we don't really need to haul a bunch of other kids or sports equipment around anymore. I wanted a not-too-small family car with decent gas mileage, but I hadn't settled on a particular brand. One cool, spring-like day, I'd just gotten my cocker spaniel's fur trimmed at PetSmart and decided to cruise around the O'Fallon auto mall and see what was new. A sleek blue Taurus caught my eye, and as I sat there gawking at it, the nicest, silver-haired fellow came out to ask if I needed help. I'm often tense around sales people, but Paul Frayer put me right at ease, patiently answering my many questions without seeming pushy. He convinced me to take a test drive and even had another employee bring my pretty puppy a cup of water and keep an eye on her while we were gone. Wow, that Taurus really impressed me with its roominess and handling! The price was reasonable, especially with my SUV to trade, and the next thing I knew I was signing papers and transferring junk from one trunk to another. I love our new Taurus, the kids love it, even the dog seems happy. I'd recommend Auffenberg to anyone seeking a stress-free car shopping experience. More
I haven't purchased a vehicle in a long time. I worked with Nate Koch, who even though at times I was indecisive, Nate kept his patience and great attitude in focusing on what I wanted. I did shop around at the other dealerships just to cover all bases in a 3 day timeframe and then I came right back to Ford. Once I decided Nate assisted in explaining everything and it was a very easy and informative process. I also worked with Anthony in finance whose expertise is second to none! Overall great, easy, experience for making such a big purchase. I would definitely recommend stopping by and although I'm sure the whole staff is great, you can ask for Nate. More
For the first time in my life I have decided to look at the number one hybrid on the market. It just so happens to be a ford and I have never owned one. I took my first step on the Ford Auffenberg parking the number one hybrid on the market. It just so happens to be a ford and I have never owned one. I took my first step on the Ford Auffenberg parking and was immediately greeted by a member of the sales staff named Paul Frayer. Up front he seems like a nice salesman with a few awards on the wall for top sales of the month. I was seriously interested in the vehicle I test drove (an almost 30K car) and after a request on the best price they could do I headed home. That night I found the car cheaper online on their website and when I asked him how come he gave me a price higher after “discounts”, he said that he doesn’t have time to check the online prices when they have over 300 cars in stock. That right there showed me that this guy would not only waste my time, but my money. Sadly, I gave this guy another chance at my business and I returned to have my car appraised for a possible trade in. He returned with a trade in price that was not only disrespectful, but he then told me that he could get my extremely low mileage diesel at an auction for much less and that it wasn’t worth anything. Although my intentions are not to leave a negative feedback, I want others to know that this place will take your money and run without looking out for your best interests. Do your research and anytime this guy gives you a number for a vehicle, check online at their Auffenberg website and see if it is lower because he isn’t going to. You will most likely save yourself some money. I unfortunately will not be returning to this business ever again, even though I would probably bought this vehicle if they gave me a respectable trade in value on my vehicle. We originally came to Auffenberg Ford North and met with Duston who was recommended to us and because they had a WHITE ford fusion and that's what my wife wanted. We test drove a SILVER one and a WHITE one Duston who was recommended to us and because they had a WHITE ford fusion and that's what my wife wanted. We test drove a SILVER one and a WHITE one and she wanted the WHITE one. We didn't have time that night to make the deal because of other things that we needed to do that night. We came back that weekend and met with Robert, test drove the WHITE ONE ONLY and purchased a vehicle... Unfortunately and frustratingly to us it was a SILVER one some how. We drove away in a WHITE car. Whenever one of my daughters noticed that the seat belt was messed up a little I made an appointment with the service department and brought the car up and that's when the service guy noticed something was wrong... The VIN didn't match my records. SO, he tells me no big deal, easy fix! Well, then Anthony steps into the picture and we get "Why don't you just take the silver one? It would be easier if you just take the silver one" My wife doesn't WANT the silver one, she WANTS the white one. And THE RUN AROUND STARTS!! They offered to tint the windows OR add automatic start to the SILVER one if we would take it!!! I asked them why not offer that on the WHITE one because of all the hassle we're going thru... I was told they'd detail it for me (Never happened) And then after everything was said and done Anthony blamed ME for not checking the VIN number and that I should have been a better customer! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AUFFENBERG, OR AUFFENBERG FORD NORTH AGAIN! More
Car buying can be stressful, not this experience we had though... Absolutely phenomenal!!! My fiancée and I had been discussing new cars for quite some time and with all the bad weather we have had, we though... Absolutely phenomenal!!! My fiancée and I had been discussing new cars for quite some time and with all the bad weather we have had, we had been seriously considering a new economical vehicle so that we could both get to and from work on our very different schedules. Our original thought was to look at getting a KIa because we were impressed by the new look and engine it offered. We went test drove one and fell in love with everything except for the price tag... That being said, we decided to look at Ford because I have had wonderful luck with my Mustang plus Ford North had a great deal on 2013 close out Fusions and 2014 Taurus. I really was interested in the Taurus... Eager to drive and see what it was about. Went in to Ford North and the staff was busy looking at inventory/staff meeting because we had time to look at a couple of cars and see what inventory they had to work with. It took time for the staff to get to us and when they finally did, my future misses was not happy about what she thought was the longest wait ever. Jeff immediately told us that he was extremely sorry for any delay we experienced and would do his best to win her over.. We showed him what we were looking at as we did research before we got there to look at the 2014 Taurus. He said that's a nice car but he was sure that he could do better as he knew that there was a 2013 Limited Ford Taurus (with all the bells and whistles) that had just come to their location hours ago. He took us out to see it and I fell in love at first sight with it. He offered to allow us to test drive and we took it out to see how it ran.... WOW!!! It rode like a dream... and it had everything I could ask for in a car - - leather, back-up camera, SONY sound system and the list goes on. We got back and Jeff asked us.. Is this the car? My fiancée and I were in love and felt like we couldn't pass it up. Came back into the office and Jeff was so patient with us. He told us that he would do his best to work with getting us this dream car. This was the moment that he won my misses over!!! We negotiated with him in order to make sure this is something that we could afford and he was very willing to help us meet our financial needs at the same time of making sure we could leave with our dream car. His manager was also extremely patient as we were concerned with our impending nuptials. We negotiated an overly fair trade for our Mustang and from there we just waited to sit and sign those papers. While we waited on all paperwork to get done, Jeff sat with us and got to know us. He saw the deal through from beginning to end without pawning us off on someone else. That was so impressive to both my fiancée and I! We would recommend Jeff Gustafson to ANYONE in the market for a car. He is patient, kind and according to my fiancée very charismatic :) A true salesman at its finest!! Thanks Jeff for the wonderful service!!! More
Vicki was personally great to work with. We worked out the pricing details for the car with (2) different packages over the phone, so it was easy to make a decision. I appreciated the fact that I wasn't charged for Auffenberg picking up the car from the dealership in Kansas that actually had the car that I decided on. It would have been helpful if the office personnel would have forwarded the UPS tracking info for the title work, so I could know to look out for it. It was also a bit of an inconvenience that there was no license plate bracket on the front of the car. More

I have purchased 3 Ford Focus automobiles from Auffenberg since 2000. I owned a 2012 Ford Focus as my last purchase. I have just traded the 2012 for my 4th Ford Focus. Issues with the 2012 new transmissi since 2000. I owned a 2012 Ford Focus as my last purchase. I have just traded the 2012 for my 4th Ford Focus. Issues with the 2012 new transmission, clutch issues to be exact, caused me great concern. I took the vehicle in for service to see if there was something that could have been about the issue. The service department department explained that the vehicle transmission combined standard with automatic to increase gas mileage. This is did! 40 mpg on a trip to Virginia. However, while in the mountains, the car was really a concern for me with the grinding and difficulty on the steep hills. I returned to the dealership for the regular service and decided to see what could be done to get me the same car but with an updated clutch/transmission. Ms. Vicki was extremely helpful in doing so. I have my beloved Ford Focus with the newer clutch, etc. It is the same as my originial 2012 but with a few extras. She had asked what I would have wanted on my car I did not get with the 2012. I said the more reliable clutch and a moonroof. I got both and hope this clutch is going to carry me through until I purchase my next Ford Focus in a few years. Dustin, who helped me with the original 2012 purchase, and Anthony, financial person, were both extremely helpful as well getting me into a loan comparable to the original with less interest and with a local financial agency. I am extremely pleased with Auffenberg North and will continue to purchase my Fords from them. Thinking of a hybrid truck next time around! Lori A. McAllister More
