Found out this year it is not certified when I took it to auffenberg Volkswagen. On top of all that the repair shop said it was over a grand to fix so I took it home purchased a scanner performed my own diagnostics… former dealer mechanic… it wasn’t what the repair shop said and ended up fixing it my self for 30$ plus the cost of the scanner. So to sum up if you are told anything get it in writing and alway get a second opinion at the repair shop. More

The SUV had less than 20,000 miles but I was encouraged to purchase an extended auto repair warranty at the same time. This warranty was to have been for 72 months or 75,000 miles. Recently I had a repair issue and called the warranty company to make sure the repair was covered. Please note that I have owned the car now for just over 3 years and have only 39,000 miles on the odometer. The warranty company told me the warranty was not valid because the time period applies from the date of manufacture (February 2014) not from the date I purchased the car. No one at the dealership explained that the warranty type they were selling (for which I paid a considerable amount) was actually only good for about 18 months, not the 72 months that was presented to me. I feel that offering this warranty was very unethical of this dealership and I will never purchase from them again or recommend them to anyone. More

I nearly bought the exact same Laramie at a competing dealer, but chose Auffenberg instead. I picked a Ram, and during the test drive noticed a slight vibration coming from the rear end. Not being a mechanic, the salesman and I concluded that it is likely a tire slightly out of alignment. We agreed upon making the sale that it would be serviced, tire rebalanced, and that would be that. More to follow: I happily purchased the Ram after it was washed and parked under the big dark awning for delivery after my inspection. I took the Ram home, then my son to the Drive-Inn, and then noticed a small dent above the rear passenger door handle on the way home. On the following Monday, 2 days after I bought the truck, I brought it up to my salesman who said he would check with his manager about the dent. I NEVER heard back. After a small road trip the vibration never went away. I then took the Ram in for the promised wheel check and rebalancing, spent most of the morning instead of at work waiting in the dealership. Happy again I hopped in the Ram, only to notice the vibration didn't fade. I then made a second appointment with the service department and luckily got a decent borrower car from the dealer. This time Rob left the ticket open to see if I approved of the second inspection/rebalance/service or whatever they may have done. After a quick test drive with Rob I was able to quickly point out the problem. At the end of the day, and missing a few more hours of work I returned hopeful the problem was resolved. Nope. A few days later, riding with my son, he asked me what was wrong with the truck. The vibration in my BRAND NEW RAM had not gone away. Dismayed again, I left a message with Rob to bring it back in (24 September). After a quick drive with the technician I caught a ride from the dealership with Enterprise to pick up the nasty rental they decided to leave me instead of a borrower I thought was arranged. This time apparently the technician used a donor truck to swap the tires and drive-shaft to my truck. I came back, more time from work, to drive my truck, which seemed promising and relatively vibration free. Rob then told me he hoped I could get my truck back, complete, the next day. The next day (25 September) I called Rob at 10 to inquire. He told me hopefully the truck would be finished in a few hours. At two I finally got called back. I drove the nasty Enterprise rental back, drove my truck, again, and found the vibration had actually gotten worse. Now thoroughly pissed I drove back to the dealer and sought my salesman, who no longer works there, then talked to the sales manager, Mike. I told him the story, and asked if I could drive a similar Ram to mine to see if I was overreacting and perhaps it was the brand. After driving the similar truck, which drove like a new truck should, I returned to Mike. I wasn't expecting miracles, or reimbursement, or anything except my BRAND NEW TRUCK to be a brand new truck. He essentially told me to take it up with Ram. To be honest, the staff at Auffenberg are great people and personally I have no qualms with them. Rob was great and just as patient as I was. Most people I know would not have lasted THREE attempts to rectify whatever the xxxx is going on. I just want the expensive BRAND NEW TRUCK I just bought to be the way it should be: smooth and dent free. I didn't expect to be brushed away and sent to Ram to hopefully and eventually solve my problem. I'm now driving a BRAND NEW TRUCK that makes me cringe every time my hand shakes or a drink in the cupholder vibrates. I have no pleasure in driving my BRAND NEW TRUCK with only 2170 miles as most people in a new ride should feel. I regret going to Auffenberg now. My second car, a 2011 GTI was serviced at the Ram neighbor, Auffenberg Volkswagen. I asked the parts guy there to price me some floor mats and other accessories, but I never heard from him. I regret going to any Auffenberg at all now. I've spent an equivalent to a day of vacation dealing with this from away from work. Perhaps I should have listened to all the people that told me not to go to Auffenberg. I was considering replacing my aging GTI but I'll definitely go elsewhere. More

M Don't ever buy a vehicle from this place. I had been speaking with Jared (salesperson) about a vehicle that I was really interested in purchasing. Made an appointment to come in the next morning to look at the vehicle. Was emailed before I left the house confirming my appointment to look at the vehicle. Great! Well not so great. I arrived at the dealership, excited to look at the the vehicle. I asked for Jared and was told he wasn't even there! I said he and I had an appointment, and his "partner" (Eric G.) told me the vehicle was sold the day before. I said xxx? I was talking to Jared last night right before closing time and was told the vehicle was still available. I wasn't told it had been sold when my appointment that morning was confirmed. Needless to say, I was a little ticked off. Eric told me they had a similar vehicle available that was a year newer, and they can maybe work with me to get close to where I wanted to be price wise. Dummy me, I bit that line of xx.... So we go look at this similar vehicle, which wasn't similar at all. Didn't have the upgraded stereo, didn't have the sunroof, and most importantly, didn't have the heated/ventilated seats that I really wanted. I specifically brought this issue to his attention, and he said that should not be a problem to install. Great! Based on that, I decided to go ahead and buy this vehicle. They gave me one key, and told me I had to go to a DIFFERENT dealer to pick up the second key. So I did, and when I got there, they couldn't find the second key. I contacted my salesperson and said that they would have to order one and get it programmed. No biggy, but still a pain in the butt. I also had an issue with the radio, the voice recognition would not work. So Eric tells me he would get in touch with me Monday about scheduling the appointment to have the seats I wanted installed, as well as the radio repaied. I never hear from him. Eventually on Wednesday I had to make contact with Jared to find out when I am going to be taking my car in to get the seats installed. (mind you I had to pay extra for this). He get's back in touch with me and tells me the following week, which is fine. Fast forward to next week, I drop my car off in the morning to get worked on. I figured it would be an all day deal, which is fine. It ended up being the next day before it was done, again, not a big deal. So I go to the dealership to get my car, excited for the heated/ventilated seats. I get in, and lo and behold, not what I asked for. Only heated seats were installed. I went back inside to grab my Eric and he told me I only paid for heated seats. I told him we SPECIFICALLY discussed heated/ventilated seats. He told me that since I only paid for the heated portion, that is all I got. I asked how can that be since we talked at length about it. At first he denied it, but then he admitted that we talked about it and that is what I had asked for, and thought I was getting. It is a good thing I have this conversation recorded, as it will help me immensely in court. Also come to find out, the radio wasn't repaired either. I asked about that, and was told I would have to contact the Kia Service Center myself to schedule that. I left that day extremely ticked off. Fast forward to today. My payment is supposed to be due sometime right around this time, but I have yet to receive ANY loan paperwork from the loan company. I tried to contact them directly and received an email back but have yet to make actual contact by phone. When I was going over my sales paperwork, I had to correct it on numerous occassions because they kept entering an address that I hadn't lived at for about 8 years... I have a funny feeling that they put down this address and an old phone number when they submitted my loan application. I am going to be REALLY pissed if I am late on a payment due to their ignorance. I am a police officer, and if I screwed up in my job as bad as these idiots have, I wouldn't have a job anymore. All in all, my overall experience with Auffenberg was terrible. I was warned by numerous people prior to the sale to avoid them, and I didn't heed their advise. Now I wish I would have. This place is a joke, their sales people are a joke, and no one else there seems to give a rats butt about the customer after the sale. I'll take my car to Missouri for work before I'll go back to Auffenberg to have any work done. They have enough of my money already. More
