Poor Business Ethics and Dishonest Sales I bought a used vehicle from this dealership about 2 weeks ago and I have to say that this has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with a I bought a used vehicle from this dealership about 2 weeks ago and I have to say that this has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with a car purchase. To begin, the day I drove off of the lot the oil light came on. I contacted the individual who sold me my car and I was told it is an older car, not to worry. He told me that once I begin to drive the oil level will even out and the light will go off. He suggested I purchase extended warranty as the car was not certified and did not come with warranty. Then, 4 days after I had my car it stopped in the middle of an intersection for no apparent reason. A day or two later the coolant light came on. I immediately contacted the individual who sold me my car and brought it in to the dealership that day. I told them about the car shutting off and about the oil light and coolant lights coming on and I asked them to check the levels. I was there for over 3 hours. The individual who sold me my car suggested that I purchase extended warranty again because I had an older car and anything could go wrong. Upon leaving an individual who I believe was the General Manager told me that they checked every aspect of the car and they could not find a single thing wrong with it. He added that, "older cars have issues with sensors but I should not to worry." To quote him, he stood in front of me and said, "I drove the car myself. I noticed that as I was driving back over here the oil light came on. Sometimes that just happens in older cars. The sensors can be a little tricky. This car is in great condition. You really got an excellent car." Today, April 20th at 10:30pm the engine light came on, the car's heating sensor went into the red and it began to smoke. I pulled over to the side of the road and discovered that there was ZERO oil in the car and there was ZERO coolant. I am left wondering what they were doing to my car for the 3 hours it was left sitting there. Also, the day I bought my car it was raining so I was told that I could bring it back and have it washed. I contacted the individual who sold me my car and arranged a day and time to bring it by to be washed prior to the coolant light coming on, which was the final straw. While I was there for that 3 hour period not only did they fail to check my fuel levels but they did not wash my vehicle. I feel as though I was manipulated by this dealership into buying a car that is a dud. I am highly disappointed in the tactics used to sell me this vehicle. I cannot believe that I was there for over 3 hours and left the dealership under the impression that everything was okay, while in reality my car was no oil or coolant. The fact that the individual who sold me my car suggested that I purchase extended warranty several times has really come into perspective now. I am left wondering what other issues this dealership hid from me about this vehicle! As what is perceived as an ethical business, my expectation is that Audi would be upfront about any issues with a vehicle. Tomorrow, April 21st, I will have to take this car that I've had for just under 2 weeks to be inspected. I am not sure of the larger issues with this vehicle but this is completely unacceptable. I have not even had this vehicle for a month. I feel completely betrayed, manipulated and lied to, point blank by Audi of Downtown Los Angeles. Due to my experience I would strongly suggest not purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. If you do, and if you take your car to be serviced you may want to have someone look over it before and after. More

It took this horrible dealership two months to pay me the thousands of dollars they owed me on my trade in. I called at least 10 times; spoke to someone on 6 occasions and was repeatedly told the check was days away. Finally, after pitching a small fit, the dealership discovers the check was lost in the mail. They only realize this because they had already SOLD MY OLD CAR and realized they needed to get the title still. So on all those other occasions when I called for a status update, they clearly didn't check it out. Out of 10 calls, only the last call ever got a call back. The best part was when I spoke to the general manager and asked him to do more than simply pay me what was owed to me. Let's be honest, if I missed two months of payments, my car would be repossessed. They should comp my service, as a show of good faith. Rather than make an offer to win my business back, the manager made it very clear he didn't care. Clearly the attitude starts at the top. It is very obvious that as soon as you sign the paperwork, this dealership absolutely does not give a S**t about their customers. Buy from ANYWHERE else. These guys don't deserve your business. I complained twice to Audi. I intend to do it several more times. More
Audi for the ignorant / uninformed = not for drivers Came in after email exchanges with Mark via Internet messaging. Facilities in the downtown looked very spectacular but that was all that looked goo Came in after email exchanges with Mark via Internet messaging. Facilities in the downtown looked very spectacular but that was all that looked good. After sitting us down, he proceeded to "shove" a Q5 in my face and tell me that this was for me. I said, not even after test driving one, I was quite shocked. I inquired about European delivery but he kept insisting that the Q5 on the lot is the one I had to get. Went for a test drive and found found out that the standard Q5 2.0T does not come with AWD traction and no Driver select feature (stiffer suspension & steering). What a disappointment - Mark assumed I was an ignorant and uninformed buyer. Mark knew I was on my 3rd BMW and with that he should know people who drive BMWs want the driver feeling connected to the road experience. The only other car was a Q5 3.0T with S line package which was double the price but we could not test drive it as he said it was for very "exclusive" customers. This is when they lost me as a customer. I ended up getting a BMW X5 diesel for the same price as their "exclusive" Q5..... So this dealership assumes you are an wealthy idiot who works near downtown LA to just say yes to anything they put in your face. They want a customer who is stupid and uninformed and does not want to drive exhilarated. Never go to this dealer for an Audi - there are lots of other places far better than this joint.... More
Beware of poor business ethics and a dishonest sales staff and management. We contacted Audi of DTLA, a dealership of Downtown LA Motors, to purchase a pre-owned vehicle. In our initial discussion we in staff and management. We contacted Audi of DTLA, a dealership of Downtown LA Motors, to purchase a pre-owned vehicle. In our initial discussion we informed their salesman, Greg Virabyan, that we had financing approved with a max loan amount. We let him know this value and asked if they would accept that price for the vehicle. After a few phone calls back and forth Greg told us we received approval from Mike Tesh, the Sales Manager. At this point we drove one hour to the dealership to test drive and finalize the sale. After the test drive we met Mike Tesh to finalize the paperwork. We said we preferred to take the vehicle that night but they still needed to get it detailed and couldn’t do it until the morning. Mike said, “I give you my word we will hold the vehicle for you” and we could complete the paperwork with him the following day. The next day we drove another hour back to the dealership to pick up the vehicle. Greg met us and let us know Mike had gone home early and the paperwork had to be filled out by another sales manager, Peter. Two hours and many excuses later Peter finally came over to talk to us. Peter refused to accept the agreed upon price we negotiated with Mike and tried to charge us $3,000 more than the agreement amount. He then proceeded to coerce us into using their financing with a larger max amount and higher rate to secure the deal. These salesmen and managers falsely agreed to a price in order to get us to the dealership, made guarantees they refused to follow through with, and continually pressured us to increase the value of the loan by using their financing. Please keep in mind our horrible experience when looking to purchase from Audi of DTLA or any Downtown LA Motors dealership. Audi should be ashamed of having team members like Peter, Mike, and Greg who do business this way. I will never go to their dealerships again. More
As a big fan of Audi I was hugely disappointed with my experience with Audi DTLA. While the facilities are beautiful and it looks premium, but the experience is not. The service department preys on those experience with Audi DTLA. While the facilities are beautiful and it looks premium, but the experience is not. The service department preys on those they think are ignorant. In my case, they blatantly lied to me about where I could get my Audi Q5's aligned done. I was told I could only get it done at an Audi dealer because it was Quattro - this is not true, and more an attempt to get more money out of me - $225 at the dealership vs. $90 at a reputable tire shop. They also tried to sell me their tires, which were 40% more expensive than tire shops. I understand the need to make money, but to be lied to and ripped off does not give the impression of a premium experience. More

Came here shopping for an A6 CPO. The sales was initially friendly. The test drive was kind of awkward as I was asked to test the vehicle only on local streets. The highway was free at that time but the sale friendly. The test drive was kind of awkward as I was asked to test the vehicle only on local streets. The highway was free at that time but the sales told me that there were insurance restrictions. The car was okay, but he wasn't very welcoming when I wanted to test a second one with slightly different specs. One reason I went there was that they had a large selection but I had to test drive the car to make a decision. The sales said that he would call me when one car I was looking for was being done repaired. He never called back. So, I decided to shop else where. More
I gave the rating I gave because of POOR communication and poor customer satisfaction through the sales cycle. Why I'll never buy from Audi Downtown LA again.... 1. No (or lack of) experience in deal and poor customer satisfaction through the sales cycle. Why I'll never buy from Audi Downtown LA again.... 1. No (or lack of) experience in dealing with out of state purchases. It took me 20 days to get my title and vehicle in Georgia even after they had processed and received payment in 4 business days. 2. HORRIBLE communication and Closed Loop Sales - the dealer didn't return my calls after payment verification and did not notify me when the vehicle had shipped. Not to mention my car beat the title to my home. Couldn't drive the vehicle for 6 days because they didn't send the title! 3. Lack of payment/transaction best practices on the finance team (can't tell you how many times they asked to pull my credit - even though they were not financing a dime). Audi DTLA talked more to my loan officer than I did but couldn't ask them for a cashiers check - which would have saved them days in approving the shipping of the vehicle. 4. Lack of follow up and direct communication 5. Poor title handling and processing - the title came 6 days after the vehicle arrived at my home. I had to call three times to get the title shipped - and the title lady said she hadn't shipped it because she though she had 30 days to do it. Well, that works for California purchases, but I didn't have a temp tag with the car - so a 30 day wait isn't appropriate. Regardless, the title was sitting right in front of her ("it's right in front of me") and she next-day air'd the title. Learn how to sell to out of state customers.. More

This place contains the definition of the stereotypical "Used Car Salesmen." Everything was nice and good until I went to sign the papers. Mind you, this took several hours and I had already transferred "Used Car Salesmen." Everything was nice and good until I went to sign the papers. Mind you, this took several hours and I had already transferred the contents of my trade in to the new car. As we're signing the papers, I notice that my trade in is now valued at $6500, instead of $7200, as we had discussed the whole time. They screwed me for an additional $700 and when I complained they shrugged and dared me to "Walk away." They knew I wouldn't. It took too xxxx long and I had invested money and time. So I resolved to make sure as many people as possible knew the way they operate. Please, the best thing you can do is NOT BUY A CAR FROM THERE, unless you want to get screwed. I talked to a car salesman friend, and he said what they're doing is an old trick. I don't know how they sleep at night. More
