After visiting other high end auto dealerships and leaving before I was cheated. I decided too give Robert Larson Porche Audi in Tacoma a shot. And to my surprise and delight the experince was very unique! I purchased a 2012 Audi A6 3.0 and it's supercharged this has to be one of Audi's best designed automobiles. The customer service team is top notch with a very competent and passionate sales floor manager (Cash Thomas) and the Finanical Wizard (Dion Earl). Make sure you talk to these guys for the car you want and the best price possible. And after your purchase stop by and see (Sarah Volz) the best service advisor around. Best of Luck! More
I ended up buying two Audi A6's at this Dealership. The customer service is great and all the people I worked with were REAL and not Snobby like at Barrier Motors in Bellevue, WA. If you want to pay FULL price then go to Barrier Motors in Bellevue, Wa. If you want to be treated very well and not sold because these cars sell themselves then come to the Larson Automotive Group. Work with Dion Earl in finance. He is the best finance manager I have ever worked for. He will get you a great rate and will also instruct you on how to protect your vehicle with protection such as Xzilon, Audi Term care select and wheel and tire repair. I purchased all three on my Audi. These cars are way to gorgeous to not protect with protection. Dion doesn't sell these products. He just offered them to me and explained very well and let me make an educated decision on what I wanted. He is the only finance manager that I know of that makes you initial next to every product so you know what your are buying. Dion Earl has been an Audi Owner of an A6 since 2002 so he knows the cars and is not just some finance manager trying to sell product and has never even owned an Audi which made a huge difference with me. He speaks from personal experiences with his cars. Cash in sales is the best sales guy I have ever come across. He is exciting and passionate about the Audi brand. Go see Cash and work with Dion Earl in finance if you want a great experience. I don't know why this store has so many bad reviews. If you go experience for yourself you will realize these bad reviews are false and they are just probably unhappy people to begin with. I however am super happy with this auto group. I would also recommend Dion Earl as the next General Manager of this Audi store. Good luck. More
This is by FAR the worst experience i've ever had with a car dealership. I had been looking at a 2008 Audi S5 at this dealership and I had been dealing with someone over the phone for 2 weeks before going t car dealership. After much consideration I decided to drive 5 hours from my location to Tacoma to go pick this car up. When I got to the dealership they quickly passed me off to a different sales person than I had been dealing with over the phone. I am 21 years old and look young and I am assuming that's why they passed me to the new guy. After looking at the car for 10 minutes, the sales person explained to me that he just started last week and thats why he doesnt know anything about the car. I was better off trying to sell him the car! After a quick test drive, we sat down and talked numbers. I asked for the car fax and he was very hesitant to giving it to me. After grabbing his manager to come out, The manager along with ANOTHER sales man came out to explain why the car had been in an ACCIDENT and that the airbags had been deployed on the vehicle. I was quickly turned off by the deal but after much assurance from the manager and extended warranties they convinced me to consider the vehicle. After all, i did just drive 5 hours to purchase this vehicle and i loved the car. After all this, I put a reasonable offer on the car. the second Sales person came back with my offer and explained to me that they cannot go lower than the sticker price of the car. I tried negotiating a bit more and they were not taking me seriously at all. I admit I look young, and not many people my age can afford this car, but that is no excuse to treat your customers like trash. The sale ended with the Sales person telling me i should go to another dealership because I couldn't afford this car. He told me that he would love to have a Bentley but since he cannot afford one that he would not be able to purchase one. I was so upset with this experience and started rethinking many other life decisions I had made since I could not 'afford' this car (I didnt really). I was really offended that he judged my like that and tried to tell me I couldn't afford a car I drove 5 hours to purchase. I do NOT recommend anyone to purchase a Car from them. I ended up purchasing an Audi S5 from Dick Hannah in Portland OR. Much better experience and I wish I lived closer to Tacoma so I could go back and rub it in their face. More
Horrible finance staff, high pressure sales tactics. Buyer beware, they hire some sales staff with no car salesman experience... Probably to address the bad reviews. I’ve shared my experience at LARSON PORSCHE AUDI IN FIFE with friends and I've heard horror stories about LARSON’S Mercedes new car sales as well. At least LARSON’S seems to be consistent. When I think of unscrupulous used car lots, I think of small lots with skuzzy inventory. Apparently, even some huge luxury car dealership groups make a lot of money using the same unscrupulous tactics. You be the judge … First time visiting LARSON’S Porsche/Audi dealership in Fife, they passed me to 3 different sales staff in less than 5 minutes (literally), and he ended up being a very rude man. My partner had her right arm in a sling, yet he waited for her to fumble with the car door for HIM before our test ride. Then he answered our questions in brief single sentences. Not helpful. I didn't plan on returning, but later found online that they had a car I was shopping for, a white dealer certified 2009 Audi Q5, with the equipment I wanted. It seems some dealerships rely on us seeing the shiny object we want and ignoring our wiser selves. Unfortunately, this almost worked on me. I test drove it one evening and liked it. Made an offer contingent on seeing the “missing” Audi certification inspection report, but they turned me down. They called me a couple days later and accepted. I visited their website the next morning and noted that they had reduced the online price... coincidentally just $250 more than the price they had verbally agreed to sell it to me for. I called and talked to another salesman just to see if he would would try to sell it. He did. I called my salesman and he dismissed it as minor issue, said they didn't intend to sell it to anyone else. I returned later that day to see the Audi certification inspection report but guess what, they didn’t have it “yet”. This time I saw the car on a rare sunny January afternoon. They had washed it for me and gassed it up. Nice. (Never buy a car you haven’t seen clean and in daylight!) I walked around the car and discovered a deep scratch on the housing of the driver's mirror (right where you'd see it every day), a small dent on the roof just above the rear view mirror, a chip of the paint missing at a seam, and another scratch on the driver's side panel... and on the passenger side, whoa. It had a scrape and deep scratches below the passenger door about a foot long by 6 inches high and more on the fender and bumper. When I pointed all this out, the sales manager and the salesman looked surprised and offered these responses….“Well it's a used car! It’s minor. Not an accident. It's not on the Carfax. It looks like they just sideswiped a trashcan.” Ya, it DOES. And this is okay why?? Why didn't they properly prepare this "dealer certified car" for premium sale? Now I think I undertand why they were withholding the inspection report. I decided to take it for a second test drive anyway and pulled over to scan the interior in daylight. I discovered a huge faint stain on the passenger seat backrest! It looked like someone spilled a drink or food and it stained the leather! Then I remembered that each time I had entered the vehicle, a LARSON salesman or manager had jumped into the passenger seat and stayed in the seat as long as possible. When I returned, I surprised them and walked away from the purchase. A few days later, someone claiming to be the General Sales Manager sent me an email offering to make me a better than normal deal. I told him to forget it. You be the judge, but it seems to me that LARSON PORSCHE/AUDI knew the car had significant cosmetic flaws, did their best to hide them, and then tried to dismiss them as "normal wear and tear" only after I discovered them on an unexpected sunny January day. Now I have to wonder what else they didn’t reveal because it was "a used car." LARSON’S is a huge dealership group selling Mercedes, Porsches, Audi’s etc., not some fly-by-night lot. This was a $33,000 luxury SUV. Not an old Buick. Cosmetics matter in a car of this class and price point. They are part of the car's appeal. My conclusion... Buyer beware. Dishonesty must pay. I won't be buying a car from any of the Larson dealerships. More
I have had trouble with the service department at Larson for several years. We took my wife's car in to have the thermostat changed. When we were told the car was done I arrived to pick it up and looked a for several years. We took my wife's car in to have the thermostat changed. When we were told the car was done I arrived to pick it up and looked at the bill, they had not changed the thermostat and were charging me for a test drive and reporting ' my clutch was slipping and it would be $3200 to repair it' I usually drive past the dealership, I have had good luck with University Audi in Seattle. In a pinch I stopped at Larson for wiper blades for my 2002 A4. They sold me the wrong ones. Never again will I set foot in their dealership! More
My 04 Turbo Cab had a consistant ABS/PSM warning light each time I drove the car. It required a second service appointment and over 30 hours of diognostics (thank God for my service contract) and the ass each time I drove the car. It required a second service appointment and over 30 hours of diognostics (thank God for my service contract) and the assistance of a Porsche Tech Rep before the problem was solved (a rodent had lunched on several wires under the dash). Thanks to all the staff for their due dilligence and "can do" attitude now my Turbo has never performed better. Chip was my primary "go to" guy and did a fantastic job keeping my Type A personality under control. I'll forever be a loyal customer and can't wait for the new Dealership to open in Fife. More
I could tell right off the bat that the salesman that came to greet me was one of those typical used car salesman. My 2001 A8 at 29000 miles was taken to this dealer for a noise problem. Each time I took the car back for the same problem, only one mechanic said he both heard the noise and felt the viberation. I have had noise problem. Each time I took the car back for the same problem, only one mechanic said he both heard the noise and felt the viberation. I have had two customers ask what is that noise? At 30000 they replaced the both converters. I have had thousands of dollars of work done on this car and each time I have it in their shop I complain about the noise to no avail. One service manager told me that I had nothing to worry about as I had established the noise problem before the warranty ran out. When I told the new service manager this he said that unfortinately that service manager didnt' work there any more. I have all the work orders that state that there was a noise and viberation problem. There are two A8's one A6 and one A4 in my family and we are all goint to never buy another Audi and actually get rid of everyone. My A8 now has 50000 miles. More
