First time at Audi Stuart This was my 1st time at Audi Stuart and it was a great experience. Bought in Miami and within 3 to 6 weeks,needed a new clutch. The engine needed to be taken out and a bill for over $4,000 was split between myself, Stuart and Miami. I was reminded that I bought the car, clutch. The engine needed to be taken out and a bill for over $4,000 was split between myself, Stuart and Miami. I was reminded that I bought the car, "AS IS"while I was suppose to receive a wind diverter for mounting behind the seats but that took over 6 -8 weeks to receive. after I purchased it. When I picked up the car after replacing the clutch, I got in the car and there was an alternator problem based on a red light in the speedometer. The service manager said, you should be able to make it home. My home is about 5 miles from the dealer. As I pulled in the garage, the car stalled and I had to push it in the garage. By the way, they pointed out the tires and brakes were not far in miles before they needed to be replaced. There was also a squeaky noise which was reviewed by "the" mechanic at the dealership and the shock absorbers need to be replaced at a cost of $2,200. or more. Then the service manager called and said he had under estimated new shock absorbers and the cost was going to be an additional $800.or more b/c there was another part he forgot or didn't know had to be replaced. I called the service manager and he quoted another crazy price to install a new alternator, I brought it to a local garage who put in a brand new alternator with a 3 year warranty from Porsche,. and at lower cost. This car is boarding on the "lemon law" even though is was a used car. This car still needs tires soon, brakes soon, These incidents I hope are not typical as I have had excellent service with the 3 or 4 cars I have bought or leased at Audi of Stuart since they opened.! What is your recommendation as I am trying to avoid the aggravation of filing in small claims court, and since I have lived here for 47 years, I know most o the judges, attorneys, etc. Although Michael Smith handled most of my service, I think he was working in good faith but the people out of Miami, that's a whole different story. I would propose Audi of Stuart put on the shock absorbers, and the brakes, based up their wholesale cost of the parts and their labor costs! Audi of Stuart doesn't need to make any more off me and I will pay for what the out of pocket costs Costs to Audi Of Stuart are! If not, I will proceed with my attorney as I have an hourly rate which I am sure is even higher than your mechanics and my attorney too! More
