The service writers never returns phone calls even if you leave multiple voicemails. They are never available when you call so there is not much choice. The mechanics can do a reasonable job but are always pressed for time and must be under the gun to finish a job quickly and move on to the next. I've had zip ties (holding certain wires) that were installed by Audi during manufacturing that were cut during service work but were never returned back to factory condition. I'm the original owner of this Audi and it has never been to any other service shops except at Commonwealth. I found out about this years later when I had the car up on jack stands when I was doning some minor work. This allowed the wires to dangle freely and fortunately, nothing broke. I just installed the zip ties myself but this is not confidence inspiring work. To get any warranty work done, be sure you know the mechanic personally and be knowledgable on what is being worked on.This may be asking a lot and not everyone can have this knowledge but its the only way you can ask the right questions and not get taken for a ride. Investigate other dealers as you may get better results - YMMV. For non-warranty work, avoid them as there are much better independent service centers around and those shops don't have to support the dead weight of overhead. More
no one seems helpful. everyone seems like they are in a bad mood. I understand that work is hard but when you go and everyone acts unprofessional and unhelpful it makes you feel uneasy and scared to leave bad mood. I researched and test drove various upscale sedans for weeks. I came across many cars at non-franchise used car dealers with damage not disclosed, and even some at smaller franchised dealers. I dealt wi weeks. I came across many cars at non-franchise used car dealers with damage not disclosed, and even some at smaller franchised dealers. I dealt with private parties overstating the condition of their cars. I saw various dealers overpricing their used cars. I then visited a dealership and test drove a used car priced at $14K that (no kidding) had the CHECK ENGINE light on, and had an inoperable passenger side window! ThI left that dealership and then saw a great used upscale sedan at Commonwealth VW. It was one of Commonwealth's brands, but John, the salesperson was nevertheless pretty knowledgable about it. The car was in amazing shape with low miles, and was, are you ready-- fairly priced. Mark and John were up front about everything. I think I got a fair deal and would recommend these folks. More
I loved the service experience I had here! They were very friendly, knowledgeable/ready to help, got everything taken care of that I needed, cleaned a VERY dirty car very well, and even paid for the loa very friendly, knowledgeable/ready to help, got everything taken care of that I needed, cleaned a VERY dirty car very well, and even paid for the loaner the first day though that is not their policy. I did have to call to check on the status of my car the next day, but it was getting washed so I assume I would have gotten a call soon thereafter. When I went to pick up my car, the lady in the service department was extremely friendly and apologized for having to wait 5-10 minutes to talk to her, and the cashiers were nice also. This was the best experience I had of all 3 dealers I've been to for service on my Audi. More
It was my first and only time at Commonwealth and I waited 2 hours for my car to get an oil change, even though I had an appointment, and no one was helpful or friendly when I asked about my car's stat waited 2 hours for my car to get an oil change, even though I had an appointment, and no one was helpful or friendly when I asked about my car's status after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting. After an hour and 45 minutes of waiting I tried to track down my service rep but apparently he had gone to lunch and didn't finish my paperwork. Someone else finished my paperwork for me, led me to the cashier without any apologies for the wait, and left me to find my car somewhere in the back of their parking lot. I will not be back because this is the worst service I have ever had. More
This was the first Audi dealer I visited after researching and deciding on an Audi. But I still hadn't driven one. We arrived and were approached by Sam.<br><br>My husband asked him a few questions about the car, and his responses were anything from the insightful "Uh.... I don't know" to the ultra-informative "Some just come that way, some don't."<br><br>We told him we wanted to drive one, but were were looking at a very specific color/package combo that we'd probably have to order so we knew we couldn't buy one today. After trying to sell us several completely different cars on their lot, Sam gave up, frustrated, and said, "look, even if I had the car on the lot, you wouldn't buy it today, would you?" My husband and I were a bit surprised by how blunt he was, and said, "Well, no; we haven't even driven it yet" and he walked away from us. Without even letting us drive the car. More
