The young couple who had ordered their new car were analyzing eveything and insisted on scrutinizing the finance contract from top to bottom, calculators in hand.A contract tht was rather straight forward and not terribly complcated. It may have been prudent to make them comfortable in another room allowing them to read the contract quietly together and jot down any questions or concerns. The dealership generally closes at 8:30 and we left at 9:30 having driven from Richmond Virginia arriving at 5:00pm! That being said, the finance manager was ultimately very helpful and pleasant, despite having been worn out by this young, couple rendered insensitive by their insecurity. So although eveyone gets a solid 5.0. The overall experience was a GOOD rather than a Great. More
This was the best service experience I have ever had. My car was with the dealership for three weeks with a major problem. The service dept. let me use a loaner vehicle for the entire time and even deliver car was with the dealership for three weeks with a major problem. We purchased our Audi from this dealership. My first experience with service here serveral months ago was not a good one. The service took a lot longer than expected, and there was no dealer-initiated experience with service here serveral months ago was not a good one. The service took a lot longer than expected, and there was no dealer-initiated contact concerning the reasons for the delay. When the car was finally returned four days later, it had not been cleaned. In contrast, this was our second experience, and it was hard to believe it was the same dealership. The service technician we dealt with this time addressed all of our issues, and was as responsive and courteous as I could have ever imagined. The 5,000 mile service was done in about 1.5 hours (faster than I expected) and my waiting in the service area was pleasant. Based upon this experience, I will continue to use this dealership for our ongoing service needs. One thing to keep in mind: this dealership does not offer all services on Saturdays. For example, bodywork including minor touchups, cannot be done on Saturdays. But this is a minor point. More

I came across a well priced 2009 listed online from Audi Silver Spring and called and was connected with Tom Schweiss for a test drive. The truck drove and looked great and was very reasonable price. Initially we really wanted to buy from a Cadillac dealer but what really sealed the deal for us was Tom's knowledge of the Cadillac Escalade model. He actually knew more about it than the Cadillac dealer we had gone to. This gave us a level of comfort and it has been two weeks and we extremely happy with our Escalade. Also the Audi Silver Spring finance department was able to save money by getting us a lower interest rate than our credit union, which was a happy and unexpected surprise. More

My purchase experience with Audi Silver Spring was fantastic. After I got the run-around from a local Detroit-area dealer and had nearly given up, I found the exact Audi A3 TDI I wanted on Audi Silver fantastic. After I got the run-around from a local Detroit-area dealer and had nearly given up, I found the exact Audi A3 TDI I wanted on Audi Silver Spring's website. I called to see if the car was still available, and was quickly put in touch with Internet Sales Manager Tom Schweiss. I was, of course, apprehensive about buying a car from another state. But Tom exceeded my expectations on every level and did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable with my purchase. He answered all of my questions about the car, the price, financing options, and the details of an out-of-state sale. I asked if he would take additional pictures of the car, and within a few hours, I had several in my e-mail inbox. And he quickly adjusted my price quote after I'd completed Costco's Auto Program wizard (which I hadn't known about initially), and seemed genuinely pleased that I'd get an even better price on the car. Tom's e-mails and phone calls were always friendly and helpful. And when he was out of the office one day, he made sure I knew Frank Gomez was keeping the purchase process moving along in his absence. When we arrived in Baltimore two weeks later, Tom picked us up at the airport and drove us to the dealership. I was shocked when he offered, but so grateful. That's just one example of Tom's willingness to "go the extra mile," but it really made a great impression. At the dealership, Tom patiently explained all the features of our new car. I only wish I was able to remember half of the things he showed us! In just a few short hours, we'd signed all the paperwork and were on our way. My experience with Audi Silver Spring was, by far, the most positive sales experience I've ever had, thanks to Tom Schweiss. I highly recommend Tom and the team at Audi Silver Spring, especially to out-of-state buyers. I know I'll definitely contact him again when we're in the market for our next new car. Black Friday, after shopping most of the day, my niece accidentally dropped a quarter into my gear shifting panel. She didn't tell me & I didn't notice until I attempted to put my car in park. I was in Tyson's Corner so attempted to contact Tyson's Corner Audi. Their phone system was down so I just drove directly there. It was approximately 3 pm. I put the car in neutral & put on the emergency brake. I went inside & approached the assistant service manager, Kevin Ross. He did not greet me. I simply explained the problem & rather than even try to assist me, he said that he didn't have anyone who could help me. He told me to leave the car in neutral, put on the emergency brake, get my keys out, & lock the car until I could get it fixed. I asked if I could make an appointment to get it fixed in the morning. He told me to call the main number to schedule an appointment. I told him that the phone system was down. Rather than taking me word, he dialed the number himself, & then said,"Our phone system is down, just keep trying." I immediately left! I called Silver Spring Audi and was greeted by my regular service consultant, Evan Singham. I told him of my Tyson's Corner experience & the problem that I was having. He told me to come immediately & he'd have one of the technicians waiting for me. I drove 30 miles from Tyson's to Silver Spring & as soon as I pulled into the service bay, I was met by Evan & Derek Wilkomm, the shop foreman. They immediately started working on the problem & before I even got out of the driver's seat, had taken the shaft apart. They got the quarter out, replaced the shaft shield, cleaned my car & had me out the door within 45 minutes. They literally made my day. Although I live about 15 miles from Tyson's Corner Audi, in the future, I will continue to drive 45 miles to Audi Silver Spring. The customer service is amazing & the advisors have been trained to go out of their way to satisfy the customers. Another happy ending. More
In these economic times, we had the most unusual Audi purchase request BY FAR. We wanted to purchase an Audi Q5 for our parents as a retirement gift. They live in Maryland. We live in Singapore. We (the purchase request BY FAR. We wanted to purchase an Audi Q5 for our parents as a retirement gift. They live in Maryland. We live in Singapore. We (the kids) were financing it. They were driving it. It was a surprise. The car/combo/colors/exact specifications we wanted were not on the lot. The Q5 had to be ordered in from Germany, requiring two months of lead time. We were only going to be in the DC area for a week, and the car had to be delivered, picked up, and special packaged on the date we arrived in from our 22 hour flight. And we absolutely REQUIRED honesty and transparency with the car representative with whom we were dealing to have any semblance of doing this multi-national, multi-currency transaction. After spending a few months reaching out and speaking to the numerous dealers in the region, often not being able to communicate our needs to them, getting the response to come into the dealership and "pick one out", we found our man in Tom Schweiss. He spoke patiently to us, listened to the massive logistics plan, and worked out a schedule to have our parents surprise ready and delivered in time. No other car salesperson could have even come close, no one else would have even earned our business. When I told him we were going to arrive on a specific date to give them the car, he made sure it was ready. When we had numerous logistics problems -- as always the damned Maryland MVA!!-- picking it up, he patiently worked through it with us. We deal with high-level clients all the time in our own fields, and DC has a large share of big egos, and we understand that CRM is the MOST IMPORTANT factor in completing a deal, and the differentiator in choosing a partner in a transaction of this amount. Tom and Audi Silver Spring are the people to go to when you want and demand the levels of professionalism that you expect associated with one of the finest cars on earth. Thanks Tom and love the car!
