Disheartening I brought my 2014 Audi A7 TDI in for a transmission fluid and filter change. Nothing is wrong with the transmission, it is simply that the manufacture I brought my 2014 Audi A7 TDI in for a transmission fluid and filter change. Nothing is wrong with the transmission, it is simply that the manufacturer of the transmission, ZF Friedrichshafen, recommends a fluid and filter change between every 80,000 - 120,000 km. I understand that Audi describes my transmission as not needing service, and I respect this, but given what the manufacturer of the transmission recommends, and that I am at 112,000 km in my vehicle and plan on keeping my vehicle for a very long time, I was hoping to get this done. Manny G offered to get the process started for Penni, and quoted me ~1200 for the fluid change as well as the transmission filter, I said yes and signed. The invoice was complete with part numbers proving you have the capability to do it. My service adviser with whom I made the appointment with, Penni, never talked with me or asked me during the hour or so I was there. About an hour after I left, I missed a call from Penni, but the voicemail she left stated that the tech had some questions regarding my vehicle that should be answered prior to the service being done, and to give her a call back. I enthusiastically called back ready to answer any questions the Audi service department had. Unfortunately when I called back I was simply told the service would not be performed, and that I could come pick up my car. This is disheartening because I was simply attempting to follow the manufacturer of the transmission's guidelines in order to keep the car I enjoy very much running for many years to come. As a high mileage driver who has put 20,000 miles on my car in six months since I purchased it, and someone who has almost fully used Audi San Diego for all Audi related things for every Audi I have ever owned, It is disheartening that Audi San Diego does not seem to have the longevity of my vehicle mind. Despite the large number of times during this experience that I was told that changing the transmission fluid is likely to damage my transmission, this is blatantly untrue in my scenario, as I am following the advice of the manufacturer, advice that when ignored is far more likely to cause damage than when followed. After I sent an email to the service manager, he did offer to have me sign a document relieving liability and allowing the service to be done, but at this point between my poor experience, my wasted time, and the fact I was told several times blatantly untrue information (even after I talked to the manager on the phone and was only there to pick up my car), that all confidence in Audi San Diego had been lost and I chose to just pick up my car and make the switch to Mercedes due to their much stronger commitment to making it possible to keeping your car on the road for as long as you'd like, which does not include flat out refusing to service it. More

Great service No problems what so ever! Took my car in and they gave me a beautiful loaner. They had my car for several days but that was fine because I had the loa No problems what so ever! In the same day a rock hit my windshield and I hit a huge pothole and busted my tire. Bummer. They were able to fix the crack in the windshield and I got a brand new tire. Plus they refinished my wheels. With the warranty I bought I paid NOTHING. Very happy and I absolutely love my A3. More
Not very people friendly I had an appointment which I had scheduled weeks prior for an oil change. My car kept warning me that I needed just the oil change (15k). I brought the car in at designated time of 1:30pm.on a Wednesday.. My advisor wasn't there and I stood around and finally just had to ask for assistance. No one came up to me or addressed me remotely to say they would be with me. I told the advisor that I needed an oil change (which the reservation should have also). He then writes me up for a complete service. Once I figured out that's what he was doing I said I don't have time for a service but that I'm just here for an oil change. He got snippy with me and a little condescending. I felt uncomfortable but I kept my ground and said i just need the oil change. and that I didn't want to wait for an entire service call. He then says that I will still have to wait at least 1 hr 30 mins for the oil change (even with the appt). I said that's fine as now I had to stand firm myself. The cost of the oil change was >$300 (Yikes). Needless to say, I'm not going back to this dealer. There was some other stuff but I think you get the picture.. More
