Service Dept. could not help with failed smog check I failed the smog check with a permanent diagnostic trouble code (PDTC) in the vehicle's computer system. The service tech claimed it does not exist b I failed the smog check with a permanent diagnostic trouble code (PDTC) in the vehicle's computer system. The service tech claimed it does not exist because he does not see it with his expensive audi diagnostics equipment. I had the vehicle scanned by 3 independent techs afterwards and they all confirmed the PDTC is there. I finally found a knowledgeable VW tech sho confirmed that the Audi equipment doesn't show these codes and that they will only go away after the car's computer detects sufficient drive cycles to confirm the issue is resolved and then clears the code. I also learned that you can pass the smog check if the car completes 15 warm-up cycles and 200 miles since the last code clearing. I would have expected the experts at Audi to provide this information, but they seemed clueless about it. Note: George did his best to help me out. Dropped my car because of a problem, they thought they solved the problem with just cleaning a panel with damp cloth. They didn’t even check if it was fixed or not, which it wasn’t. The selected we selected online and discussed with Ferduke was a 2018 CPO Audi TTS, and "on his day off" Ferduke picked at the airport and drove us to the dealership. Unfortunately, the 2018 TTS was a huge disappointment and we decided not to make the purchase. Faced with making travel arrangements back to Sacramento my wife asked Ferduke, don't you have another one? Little did we know he was already one step ahead of us and he said give me a minute I'll be right back. He brought a 2016 TTS around that ended up being a much nicer car than the 2018 and we closed the deal.. - Ferduke was AWESOME Ferduke introduced us to Dan in finance and just as we expected from our last purchase, Dan was excellent and explained everything in an organized and concise manner. Once again we left Audi of San Diego with smiles on our faces and we'd do it again without hesitation. More

I had to make an appointment, and I was told it would take 1.5 hours, which seemed like a long time. I waited for my car. After two hours, I went to ask them to check on the status. It was ready, but nobody had told me. When I looked at my receipt, it had actually been ready about a half hour prior to my inquiry. I was missing work to wait for something that didn't seem like it should have taken so long, and I wasn't happy additional time was wasted just waiting to me notified my car was ready. They didn't really seem busy, either. More
