Ken, I appreciate your enthusiasm for trying to make the situation better. However, I purchased my car two years ago and have continually run in to problems since them. My car has been in your shop for over a month, many times because the service department had to do the repair twice. Once time it was in for over a week because a mechanic went on vacation, and no body picked up the job. When I spoke with service manager and foreman they acted like that was normal. Many of the problems are due to my car not being inspected for the CPO warranty. Of course I don’t have proof that no one looked at it, but due to the number of problems I had just leaving the dealership on the day I purchased it, I’m sure it wasn’t inspected. Furthermore, I keep finding issues, for example, recently my tire went bad, so I pulled out the spare time for the first time, and the rim was oval. I do take responsibility for not more thoroughly inspecting the car myself, yet I do hold Boardwalk accountable for your lack of diligence. Throughout those years I have see a revolving door of personnel, and each time someone said they would make the next experience better, yet it would always end in problems. I had to fight to get my CPO warranty that came with the car. I has to get Audi of America involved in a fight to get the additional service that I paid for. I have found the best way to proceed at this point is to avoid Boardwalk and its associates, as it seems to always cause more harm than good. The overall lack of care and diligence I have experience over the years has been deplorable. Just take a look at how many times my car has been in your shop, or call Audi of America regarding my CPO or Audi Care. I was even promised Audi Care Plus yet I still don’t have that on my car. My VIN is below. Also I attached my letter to AofA below my signature just as a reference. I am not going to Boardwalk for anything again. This letter is more for you to get an understanding of how poorly your dealership performs on a consistent basis. Regards, Dan Miller 214-335-6758 (C) Dan.W.Miller@gmail.com Audi VIN: WUARL48HX6K900632 To whom it may concern: I hope this reaches you well. I am writing to file a formal complaint and to illustrate the level of service customers receive at Boardwalk Audi in Plano, TX. Beginning the day after the purchase and continuing almost two years to date, my experience with the dealership has been challenging at best and contentious at worst, when I was only seeking the services I paid for. In February of 2009, I purchased a 2006 Audi S4 Certified Pre-Owned (“Audi CPO”) vehicle from the Dealership. The sales experience was positive, I felt I got a good deal for the car and was excited to own an Audi. In order to make sure it was maintained properly, I purchased the Audi Care to cover the 55k and 65k mileage services. When I was driving home immediately after the sale, I began to notice problems. The sales associate at the Dealership told me that a mechanic had thoroughly reviewed the car before being able to certify it as an “Audi CPO” vehicle; however, the radio and satellite navigation were not working properly, and the passenger side front wheel made a loud noise when I turned. These problems, although slightly frustrating on a recently purchased car, were part of buying a used car, so I took it in to have it fixed. I was comforted in the fact that I had purchased an Audi CPO vehicle and believed I would be taken care of at the Dealership. I was told that it would be fixed in a day or two. It took over a week for a fairly simple and routine repair, because a mechanic started working on the car and left for vacation, so my car sat in pieces for over a week before it was finished. Over the next year my car was in the shop for over 30 days for various problems. I understand there can be issues with any used car; however, there seemed to be some quality discrepancies on what an Audi CPO should be and what it was. The service department at the Dealership consistently required follow up to ensure a complete job was done, and many times a single problem needed to be fixed several time. For example, the exhaust developed a rattle, when I picked it up from the shop I didn’t even make it out of the parking lot before I realized either nothing was done, or they fixed the wrong thing. These types of situations happened repeatedly. After a year of ownership the original factory warranty had expired, and I needed it repaired under the CPO warranty. When I brought it in, the dealership had no record that it was a CPO car. I had to get my original sale records to prove they in fact sold me a car with a CPO warranty. So before I could get my car fixed, I had to spend 2 weeks making sure the car was registered as a CPO because the Dealership did not report apparently lack of CPO warranty for a few days until after the issue was discovered. Once the CPO paperwork was filed, I had to bring it in for a recall before it could be certified, further delaying the process, as I continued to drive a car that needed to be repaired. Since I was having so many problems with the Dealership I sat down with Michael Salimbene the General Manger of the Dealership to discuss my problems. I was hoping that the service would improve, and he would make sure I would at least receive a minimal level of service expected from any business, especially an Audi dealership. However that did not happen. Within the past two weeks, I took my car in for the 55k mile service for the Audi Care that I purchased, and again they had no record of the Audi Care being purchased on this vehicle. After the dealership found my original sale paperwork they were going to make sure that Audi Care was finally put in my records so I wouldn’t have trouble the next time I came in, and Mr. Salimbene upgraded me Audi Care Plus for my troubles. After a week I followed up
