We recently moved to the area and took my wife’s new Audi Q5 to Audi Plano for its routine service, expecting the standard level of care and professionalism Audi is known for. Instead, we experienced some of the worst customer service we’ve encountered at a dealership. During our one-year service visit, the dealership informed us that one tire had worn down to 3mm, while the remaining three tires were sitting at a healthy 7mm. When I called to ask why there was such an extreme discrepancy on a vehicle with roughly 15,000 miles—suggesting a potential factory alignment issue that should be checked—the service advisor immediately dismissed the concern, blaming "Dallas-Fort Worth roads." When I asked if he could check with the technician to see if anything specific was noted on the inspection, he treated me with a condescending attitude, acted as though I didn’t understand basic tire wear, and flatly refused to talk to the tech. I requested to speak with a manager, who was initially apologetic about the advisor’s behavior and promised to look into the tire issue and call me back. While waiting for that follow-up, my wife went to pick up the Q5. The same service advisor—knowing I had reported his behavior to his manager—intentionally ignored my wife. She was told by staff that she had to wait for him. He made her sit there for 20 minutes while he casually chatted with another coworker in full view, blatantly refusing to assist her until she had to find another employee to step in and release her vehicle. The manager also never bothered to call me back with an update. Between the dismissive handling of a clear vehicle issue, a broken promise of a managerial follow-up, and the petty, deliberate mistreatment of my wife during pickup, Audi Plano has completely lost our business. Save yourself the headache and take your Audi elsewhere. More
