Hello Jackie, Thank you for your reply. I truly am sorry that you feel the way you do. We try hard to assist our customers and give them the best possible service we can provide. I understand we made a mistake with our billing on your third visit into our store. When brought up to our team we immediately corrected the error. I sincerely apologize for the error we made. I am glad we immediately resolved it after bringing to our attention. I understand you are unhappy with the repairs needed on your 2011 Audi with 79,455 miles. As the third owner of your car we do not have any of the service records from the prior two owners. Did you go back to the dealership you purchased your car from and ask for warranty assistance? If you would have purchased an extended warranty from the dealership that sold you your car your repairs would have been covered. Your factory warranty expired at 4 years or 50,000 miles. Extended warranties are designed to assist you after the factory warranty expires. Our technicians spent 14 hours on your car during your last visit. We have given you transportation to drive while in our store. Your last visit included diagnostic time, drive time, and time spent with our Audi technical field specialists to make sure we were giving you the best possible advice. Our dealership uses factory-trained technicians that must certify annually to work in our store. We pay them to attend training each year. We invest in the equipment necessary to work on an Audi. When you voiced your unhappiness with work performed the last time in our service department we zeroed out your bill not charging you anything for the 14 hours of the work performed to diagnose your car or the loaner car you drove while we had your car in our shop. It was our recommendation to replace your engine due to the amount of metal filings in your engine oil pan. Simply replacing a camshaft may be a short term fix to a bigger problem. Until you get inside an engine there is no way of knowing if a camshaft repair will totally resolve your problem. You feel Audi of America should pay for repairs on your car that has been out of warranty for some time and yet you are holding Audi North Scottsdale accountable for this. We didn't sell you this car. There is no warranty on the car. In the interest of customer satisfaction we didn't charge you for the last visit into our store which included 14 hours if diagnostic time. When you called Audi of America they recommended that you take it to a different Audi garage for a second opinion but you decided not to do this and took it to an independent garage that is not factory authorized. I have tried to understand your position. I have offered to reimburse you for your work done at our store but it appears this still is not satisfactory for you. I am truly sorry we were not able to assist you further and wish you the best with your car. Kind regards, Mark Reicks
