The follow through and desire to correct the events earned my review an extra star. I'll try to be as objective and matter-of-fact in my description of events. Though my overall rating is only 3 stars, I would still recommend the dealership as I don't expect my situation is common. It was genuinely a 1 star experience for me personally, but the staff's persistence and positive attitudes raised it to be average. Ultimately, the team seemingly did everything they could to rectify each individual situation as it came up. Candidly, though, it was extremely frustrating - I was at the dealership 7 times in 3 weeks to resolve all issues and still may have to return to get the appropriate touch-up paint for the vehicle. Definitely took the fun out of getting a new car, especially since my first experience in my final car was that of a dirty, smelly vehicle still with some body issues (some of which came out in detailing). Unfortunately, because it wasn't detailed prior, it was difficult to see what was permenant when I first picked it up. Here's the series of events: - I purchased a Certified Pre-owned ("CPO") A4 from Brian March 10 - Mid-week the following week, I received a call from Brian telling me that they discovered that the car hadn't undergone the CPO inspection and that I'd need to bring it back in. I told him I could bring it in the following Tuesday, March 20. By this time, I had changed the wheels/tires on the vehicle. - The morning of March 20 I brought the car in, but was told that, due to the different wheels/tires, they weren't quite sure how they would do the CPO inspection. Steve (used car manager) said he'd give his okay, but I was told they needed to clear some additional paperwork before they could do it. In the meantime, I would photograph the wheels/tires so that they could log the appropriate numbers. So, I left the dealership in the car. - A few hours later, Brian called saying that there was a misunderstanding and that I'd need to bring the car back, so, for the second time that day, I drive the car back to the dealership. At this point, I called out a few issues with the car's body that I had hoped would be resolved in the inspection. I was given a loaner. - Either later that day or the next (March 21), I received a call from Steve saying that, due to the tires that were originally on the vehicle as well as the body issues, they wouldn't have (and therefore couldn't) sell the car as certified. Steve and I came to an agreement that the dealership would take care of the body issues "so that you wouldn't notice them" and would buy an extended warranty for the vehicle. - On Friday March 23rd, I was told my vehicle was ready, however, upon arriving, the body work was sub-par, one issue wasn't even addressed, and the warranty paperwork had mis-matching VIN's - part of it was for a completely different vehicle. Steve was not in this day, so I was introduced to Matt Guthrie. Matt was very understanding and, after some discussions, offered to find another similar vehicle that they could put me in instead. I took the original vehicle back that day. - Later that same day, Matt called with a few options. That one I settled on was the same year/model, but had 20k fewer miles, so I was asked to pay a difference of $1k. - On Monday March 26th, Matt said that the vehicle would be picked up by the transport company the following day (3/27) and delivered on Thursday (3/29). - Thursday morning I took my car in to receive a loaner, as was originally planned. - The car wasn't actually delivered until the evening of 3/30, though not the fault of the dealership. Matt made sure to expedite the CPO process on Saturday 3/31 and, later that day, I received a call that the car was in detailing and could be picked up later. - I went back to the dealership that evening to find that the vehicle had NOT been detailed. Instead, it was dirty and smelly. I would have to come back the next week to have it detailed. After re-signing the financing paperwork, I took the new vehicle home and noticed, when I got home, a chip in the hood of the car. - On Monday April 2, I took the vehicle in for detailing. They did a great job, but could only provide touch-up paint for chip. When I got home and began applying the touch-up paint, I noticed it was a completely different color (black paint for a white car). More

I have bought many cars and of all of them this dealership is the best for taking care of their customers. This is a Pensky dealership which I have bought cars from before and they all act the same way no matter what car it is you are buying. Brian McCauly was my sales person and, a very knowledgeable person. He knows his cars inside and out. He is a very personable person to work with. I had a couple of things the car had to come back in for to fix. It was very easy getting it back in and the service writer took great care of me and getting everything fixed the first time. My experience with Prem Lawrence and Audi of North Scottsdale was a positive experience in every facet. Prem was honest, knowledgeable and worked very hard to earn my business. When we came to pick up the vehicle, Prem and Audi of North Scottsdale created an experience that my wife is still beaming about. The car was completely cleaned and detailed. And he even had it covered with a tarp in a private bay and had her pull the tarp off to see her new car! He took the time to walk her through and share important features on her new car. The total experience was first class all the way! If you are in the market for a vehicle, I highly recommend that you contact Prem Lawrence! More
