Airbag light on dash. Dealer had vehicle for half day, charged me over $300 to “diagnose” the problem and said I needed to replace the passenger seat sensor module for $2, Dealer had vehicle for half day, charged me over $300 to “diagnose” the problem and said I needed to replace the passenger seat sensor module for $2,300. I said I would look for a used module. When I got home I looked under the seat and saw a large wiring connector dangling loose - with a purple label that said “Do Not Disconnect”. I reconnected it and the airbag system is fixed. Unbelievable if it hadn’t actually happened yesterday! More
Q7 oil change with coupon - good deal. Quoted 2 hours wait even with appt. Asked for a ride home 10miles away, denied - “too far” and “you didn’t spend enough on service for a ride” - fail Quoted 2 hours wait even with appt. Asked for a ride home 10miles away, denied - “too far” and “you didn’t spend enough on service for a ride” - fail because amenities list Ride/Loaner/Drop Off service. Knew they would do an inspection with “recommendations for extra services” - denied all extras, but glad they looked it over underneath etc. They did find some worn tie rod bushings and $1,150 to replace - I’ll shop around for a second opinion and pricing. It appears the oil change was done properly and service interval reset. More
