We have been in constant communication with this customer and feel deeply sorry that they feel this way. Because we use a 3rd party titling company for out of state deals, it took a little time for the paperwork to be processed and then forwarded on to Indiana.The Indiana BMV sent this customer an additional temporary, after receiving the paperwork, because the state has a centralized out-of-state DMV service that takes approximately 4 weeks to process original plates. In regards to the $2000 deposit from the customer, we did refund the money on 9/08/14 after we received the final estimate for titling fees. It did take 7 business days to process that refund, from the time we received the VIN verification from the customer. We regret any inconvenience that this customer has experienced and it is never the intention of McGrath Audi to prolong or delay the issuing of plates or refunds.

Update to this post: It is 10/25/14, two months from original purchase of the vehicle, and McGrath still owes me close to $800. Better Business Bureau has attempted to act as an intermediary to resolve the issue, however the dealership, contrary to their response to this post, has not been responsive, and is now on their final notice from the BBB. My next option is to contact the Attorney General from the State of Illinois.
