The car was as described and was priced below average. The sales person was professional and easy to work with. The reason I rated only 3 stars was because the initial trade in offer was ridiculously low and they knew it. I pushed back and they instantly upped the offer by 50%. Such an old school xx tactic and I expected more from Mcgrath. The second issue was that they added a $1,500 protection package to the cost of the vehicle. They flash a dirty laminated pamphlet that lists all the "benefits" like paint treatment. I was able to negotiate that cost down as was but still stuck with an extra $900. I didn't fuss too much because the overall cost/value was good. My other issue with the protection plan is that they didn't provide a contract. There is nothing in writing that explains what I paid for and they are obligated to provide in return. These nefarious acts are unnecessary and the very reason people hate car dealerships. Sad part is that they didn't need all that crap. They offered a great car at a great price. Just be transparent and forthcoming and I would happily refer people to this dealership. More
