I’ve been thinking about what your master mechanic told you regarding my 2014 Audi S4 having a damaged camshaft/camshafts which has approximately 67,000 miles. I can’t get around the fact that I brought t you regarding my 2014 Audi S4 having a damaged camshaft/camshafts which has approximately 67,000 miles. I can’t get around the fact that I brought the car into your shop for loss of pressure to my coolant system (coolant leak) and he also found that I had an oil leak ($3,000 + later) and once that was repaired, I drove the car home from you service center and it was fine, but one day later I turned the car on and began hearing strange ticking and tapping sounds. I decided to have the car towed back to your service center to learn that my camshaft had gone bad (according to your master mechanic). A camshaft should last the life of the engine with proper upkeep and maintenance. As you know I take excellent care of my vehicle and have the manufacturers recommended maintenance performed on time. It’s very hard for me to believe the camshaft just went bad. I’m very much under the impression that something happened during the original service to my car (coolant/Oil leak) that caused this problem. I’m not blaming you for this bizarre incident because I understand you’re not a mechanic, but I do believe your mechanic or mechanics may have inadvertently caused the problem. The other question is it the actual camshafts as a whole or the camshaft actuator, intake camshaft or camshaft position sensor? I refuse to take responsibility for something I didn’t’ cause nor did it go bad on its own. I absolutely shouldn’t have to spend who knows how much money to have the camshafts replaced. As an FYI, the valet guys didn’t clean the vehicle before they gave it to me and someone left a pair of flip flops on the floor in the backseat. It was the absolute worse service experience I have ever encountered. Due to the damage done to my car, I have to figure out how to pay for the repairs that are estimated at or near $8,000. I never ever thought I would have to give such a bad review to a service department I've always trusted to do the right thing! Dwight Brown More
