Took my car in for the service. My service advisor was professional and informative. Major service was done quickly and my car was returned clean. This review is for a regular maintenance appointment. It took three weeks to get an appointment with a loaner car which seems on the long side to me. Efficient and classy. Big surprise that, after only 10000 miles, the service people advised we would need new tires is about 5000 miler more. Half the tread already gone. Ouch. Overall, the experience was as expected. It was pleasing that when I drove the car away it was running better than it was when it was put in for service. This always brings a smile to one's face. My critique is as follows - A driver knows their car and its idiosyncrasies. I had highlighted two specific performance challenges I was having with the car. These were highly noticeable to an amateur like myself and therefore simple to note for a professional. When I picked up the vehicle, I was told that the mechanics didn't notice anything and that they could not reproduce the explanation I had offered. In one case that is understandable. In the other case hard to fathom. It essentially tells me that what I reported was not checked. There is no way someone testing what I had described would not clearly notice the symptoms. As a driver trusting their vehicle to the dealer this is like a red rag to a bull. It also erodes trust in the relationship and leaves a question as to whether the matter was reviewed at all. Although I am sure I was charged for the time to try to recreate the scenario. In summary, don't do that. A phone call to me for further explanation was warranted as I had specifically highlighted the concern. As it happens the service seems to have alleviated the problem I was experiencing was, at least for the moment. The exercise is close to a 4-figure sum for a simple service. Treat the transaction accordingly. It's not buying milk from the corner shop. More
The customer service advisors much better at Audi than other dealerships I’ve used. The communication is good,my appointments resolve the issues, and my car has very few issues outside of maintenance. The other dealerships I’ve used.
