I purchased a CPO Porsche Cayman in June of 2020 from Harper Porsche. The sales experience was great. Trent provided answers to my questions as well as photos of everything I asked. I asked when the cars next service was due and was told by the service department the only thing required is an oil change in November2020. I live in Atlanta and couldn't verify the service intervals on the dashboard, so we drive to Knoxville to pick up the car and drove it back to Atlanta. The process was smooth and I was done with the purchase within an hour. Everything was great! 2 months later, the Intermediate Service light on the dashboard came on. I called the Harper Porsche Knoxville service department and they assured me the car only needed an oil change. This is the same information that was provided when I purchased the car as it would need an oil change in November 2020. I scheduled a service appointment at the local Atlanta Porsche dealer for the oil change, and was told that Harper Porsche didn’t perform the required Intermediate 6 year service on the car and it would be $2,100 for the Intermediate Service to be completed. I called Harper Porsche, spoke to the service advisor, and he again stated all that was needed was an oil change and not the Intermediate Service. I called another local Atlanta Porsche service department to validate if my car would need the Intermediate Service or only an oil change, and they verified it needs an Intermediate Service. They also told me that a CPO car must have any service that is due within 6 months to be complete prior to being sold. I called the service department at Harper Porsche again, and told the service person that the car was due for an Intermediate service within 3 months of me buying the car and wanted to know why that was missed in the CPO process. This didn’t go well with lots of back and forth. Eventually I called Porsche customer service and they stated that the dealership should have performed the $2k Intermediate Service on the car prior to being delivered to me. The service manager from Harper Porsche called me the next day and said they would pay for the Intermediate Service. The end result is that Harper Porsche did what the CPO requires, but it required multiple phone calls over 2 months and finally me involving Porsche Customer Service. If I wouldn’t have kept pushing, I would have had to come out of pocket $2k for this service which was required to be complete prior to delivery per the CPO policy. Be very careful about buying a car here as they may try to cut corners with you like they did with me. More

They continue to use sharp objects rather than plastic tools to repair interior parts and have often caused more damage than repairs. More

Most recently they repaired a major valve spring/cylinder head malfunction that would have been very expensive to repair out of warranty, but they good-willed it even though my vehicle was just out of warranty. Unheard of!! No need to car shop/service anywhere else. Thanks Harper! More
