My car had an electrical problem on New Year's Day. I had it towed in the next day, got my answers by day's end and had my car back as soon as possible. This was all rather miraculous considering when it happened and the extreme cold weather conditions. I had left Ted a message ahead of time with my concern. He got right back to me and reassured me. No worries, just excellent customer service. More

Dishonest Service Shop I took my Audi A6 into this dealer for the airbag recall and the service department broke the CD player when installing the new airbag. The dealer su I took my Audi A6 into this dealer for the airbag recall and the service department broke the CD player when installing the new airbag. The dealer suggested it was already broken and called me a liar. They physically had to remove the CD player unit to replace the airbag so definitely there was a probability of them disabling the CD unit. I told them the CD player was working fine before I brought it in and even after talking to the GM Brian Hall they refused to own up and do the right thing. Completely dishonest dealership. I will never buy from them again and definitely I suggest avoiding their service department at all cost. The service management is weak and indifferent and don't seem to really like their jobs. These guys are crooks!!!! More

Poor intelligence and inability to follow direction. My sibling is mechanical engineer for the government who build, designs and constructs our military tanks and I am dating someone who used to rebuild My sibling is mechanical engineer for the government who build, designs and constructs our military tanks and I am dating someone who used to rebuild cars for a well known shop in Chicago where his cars were featured and sold in places such as, but not limited to: SEMA, Barrett-Jackson, Mecum, etc. I was informed of my issue in my car could be my torque converter (RPM surging in high gear (4,5,6) at a constant/decreasing and accelerating speeds). My brother was able to find a TSB (2028053) DIRECTLY RELATING to my issue - had to bring it into Audi Hoffman Estates, which I typically don't get services from dealers - because we are more than capable of handing issues our own but am fully aware only an Audi dealer has the equipment to service a TSB as there is expensive softwares and computers needed for these processes. I brought the car in, and asked them to look into the TSB and check that my software was up to date, and if it was not - to update it and do a partial fluid exchange. I get a call that they need to replace crank case breather valve because it is broken, okay fix it please for convenience purposes. I get the car back and it is still surging which they reported that it was not surging anymore. I call back and took a video, on and off cruise control showing that the car is still surging - bring the car back into the dealer after the weekend and ask if they ever looked into the TSB I was told they did not because they "highly doubt it is my torque converter". So I asked calmly and politely if they could look into now as I've already asked once and I am not here to play guessing games on what is wrong with the vehicle, I already told you what is wrong with it and I am asking for it to be fixed. They looked into it apparently -I get a call back and the guy informs me "well we found that your torque converter is slipping" my response: "So....the TSB number that I provided you with that you that I wrote down in three places for you to look into that you never looked into the first place - because that TSB DIRECTLY states - Release Date February 3, 2012: "Condition: Customer may report shudder or RPM fluctuation while at cruising speed in 4th, 5th, or 6th gear. Technical Background: Torque convertor clutches may have excess slippage while cruising. Production Solution: Not applicable. Service 1. Check and verify that the software is at the highest level using TSB 2028053, 37 TCM software update for downshift concerns or 2028279, 37 Shift concerns when slowing vehicle. Also, check that the fluid level and condition is clean, full, and matches the required color per the applicable TSB. Tip: If needed, update the software of the transmission and change the fluid before proceeding with this TSB. 2. Test drive the vehicle to verify the concern is present. If the concern can be duplicated, verify there are no fault codes stored for misfires and watch the Measure Value Blocks in the ECM to verify no misfires are seen when the condition is present. 3. Check MVB 7 from the TCM. Verify Field 3 is reading control and record the slip count from Field 4 while the concern is present. The slippage of the TCC should not exceed 120 RPM in MVB 7 field 4 while the convertor is in control mode. The RPM surge should coincide with TCC slippage. If this reads higher than 120 RPM, the torque convertor should be replaced. Tip: The TCC slippage will vary when in open TCC mode and should read 0 when in closed TCC mode, this is normal. Replace the convertor for high slippage when the TCC is in control mode (above 120 RPM) or for any slippage when in closed mode (MVB 7 field 4). Tip: It is not necessary to receive a Repair Authorization to perform this TSB." With that being said, that is the EXACT diagnosis of my car, in which the service guy just repeated as if he thought I was just some dumb girl coming in with no clue looking to throw away my hard earned money for them to play guessing games, but hey, I actually have knowledge and understood the TSB when WE FOUND IT and read it. In which I argued with him and asked that he service my vehicle as the TSB states - check the software, which I probably told him 3 times by now, and possibly exchange fluids in which he said would be "too messy" so I grabbed my car and took it to someone who could, and would work on it and guess what - TSB solved and car is operating just fine. After the service guy got snippy stating that he, too, has access to the TSB’s (well I would hope so you can google them, everyone has access to them…) and I said I understood and restated that I wasn’t asking for him to find the issue, I was asking him to resolve the issue and if he has the resources for the TSB he, easily, should have been able to find the issue, along with the directions to potentially fix the issue in which they epically failed to do. Maybe next time they should listen to their clients as not every one of them is ignorant to the operation of vehicles. I was truly disappointed and angered by these situations. I spent a total of a weeks span for them to "figure out" a problem that I already solved, just needed their computers to fix it. I am highly disappointed and extremely dumbfounded that a luxury service center was this unprofessional and unintelligent. More
