STAY FAR AWAY !! July 3rd I brought my 08 Touraeg in for an oil change, that's all. Waited 2 hours for it and asked what was taking so long. Rose said that they are doing the multipoint inspection. She for an oil change, that's all. Waited 2 hours for it and asked what was taking so long. Rose said that they are doing the multipoint inspection. She then said to me " you got your brakes done somewhere else didn't you . I simply said "yes I did. She said " Your brake warning light is on . I said, "No it isn't. and that was it. My vehicle came out about 10 mins later . I paid and drove off. The brake warning light starts flashing on my dash. I turned around and went back. I went to the service counter and said," Someone screwed with my brakes, this light was NOT on when I pulled in. This huge guy gets up from his desk and says"NO ONE SCREWED WITH YOUR BRAKES, I said, That's bullsh*#. He said, "Get the xxxx out of here, we don't need your business !!! I left and immediately went to the garage that had installed my brakes 9 mths prior. They put it on a lift and saw that a brake sensor wire had just been pulled apart setting off the warning light on the dash. Matties had sabotaged my brake system !! I call VW of America right away. The person I spoke to first was very disturbed by my story and turned my case over to someone who would be a mediator. A day later I got a call back from VW and they said that they called and Matties denied any such thing. I said" No sh@#, did you think they would admit to sabotaging my brakes !!" He said" All we can do is call." Big deal !!! I said " Of course they're going to lie about it". So no help there. Filed a complaint with the Attorney's General office. They turned it over to a local Consumer protection Agency. The woman there said, " Unless there are 3 or more complaints , nothing can be done except a phone call to Matties. I told her not to bother, it won't do any good. They (Matties) CAN"T be trusted. Funny thing is ... when I got the paper work for the multipoint inspection, it said nothing about my brakes, or warning lights . I got all green check marks...So please, if you have complaints go all the way with them. Attorney's General, BBB, City hall. There is power in numbers and it's the only way that kind of stuff will stop. Hopefully no one gets hurt or worse because of them tampering with vehicles. The best advise is to STAY FAR AWAY FROM MATTIE IMPORTS. Also got to yelp and the bbb site and read more complaints. You're not alone. How sad . You pay alot of money to buy a VW to get this kind of treatment from the service dept. SHAME ON THEM !!!! Pass the word on..... More
Rob was great but wouldn't quote a price until we told him that we would not look anywhere else. Rob Sullivan was arrogant and someone I would not deal with. We went elsewhere and bought a car! I brought my audi in for a timing belt job. I asked for the waterpump and thermostat to be changed while the car was apart. A few thousand miles down the road the waterpump let go, costing me another $800. the waterpump and thermostat to be changed while the car was apart. A few thousand miles down the road the waterpump let go, costing me another $800. I would not recommend anyone letting Mattie touch their car. My new mechanic said that they did a terrible job on my car and should've changed the waterpump, thermostat, serpentine belt, etc while the car was apart. This dealership also did transmission work on my car that I did not agree to. Guess what, the car had issues 6 months down the road and $5000 later. By the way, when I got home and opened my trunk my amplifier and kicker box was missing. Dealer said, "sorry call your insurance company!" Please stay away from Mattie. These guys are crooks! More

My husband and I went to Mattie because of an advertised VW JETTA wagon we saw on their website. We went in to look at the car and get a quote and wasn't given any answers to our questions like, the cost of VW JETTA wagon we saw on their website. We went in to look at the car and get a quote and wasn't given any answers to our questions like, the cost of the car. All they kept asking us is what are you trying to accomplish. Duh, we want to purchase a car. When we asked the price, we were told what does it matter as long as we're in our monthly payment budget. We should have walked out then. But we continued to talk and were told they could get us into the 350.00/payment range. We went back the next day to see if we could make a deal and have our trade in assessed. Al, our sales agent said he needed to test drive our car...ok, then 5 minutes later a mechanic is driving it. That makes more sence. Al could not answer any of our questions and kept leaving us, to go ask a manager. He finally came back with a couple quotes and they were all well above 350, with a guessed rate of 3.55, before running our credit AND VW was offering a potential 1.9%. When we questiond the rate, was told the percentage rate wasn't going to matter. After I saw that we were lowballed on our trade in I said that that was too low. We were then told, " we'll that's it then. This is a one shot deal. " to which we said thank you for you time, and left. It was one thing to not make a deal, but it is quite another to be treated with a rude and condesending salesperson. We will not return there for sale or service. More
I bought a new 2012 Q5 from Mattie in September. I went with my husband who was planning on buying a new A6 or A7. We test drove both and he decided on the A6. We spent over an hour going back and forth wi with my husband who was planning on buying a new A6 or A7. We test drove both and he decided on the A6. We spent over an hour going back and forth with colors. We even had my son come to the dealership to help him make up his mind. Getting fustrated, I went for a walk around the lot. Spotted a new Q5 in Red, asked Tim if we could take it for a test drive. He did reply NO, we cant drive this one, but I can use Mrs Mattie's for a test drive. He explanied to me the Q5s are selling at a premium. And the people that are paying MSRP or sometimes over dont like to have miles on there new car. I can understand that. He ran inside got the keys for the owners personal car, and off we went. Needless to say, I fell in love, my husband is driving my car, and we traded in his old car for my new red Q5. I cant say they went over the top, or did anything to wow me, but I would buy another car from them. No reason not to. More
I went to Mattie to look at test drive the Q5. I was told by my salesperson that before I could test drive the vehicle my trade in would have to be appraised and a price agreed upon before the test drive. We stopped in today to test drive and learn about a Q5. We asked the salesman for help and he responded "OK I have some time to kill". Then he knew nothing about the car and kept saying "The car sells itse We asked the salesman for help and he responded "OK I have some time to kill". Then he knew nothing about the car and kept saying "The car sells itself". All that was whatever but when we asked to test drive one he said it was Mattie's policy to NOT allow potential customers to test drive the Q5. In fact we overheard another salesman 'arguing' with another prospective buyer - saying he couldn't test drive a Q5. Then about five minutes later that prospective customer was allowed to test drive a Q5 - except that it was a sold Q5 with the new owners plates on it! They told us 'that one is sold and awaiting pickup' and five minutes later the other customer was loading his family into it for a test drive. Would Mattie do this to my car if I bought it there? We were very pleasant and upon saying goodby the salesman would not acknowledge us.###### My sister-in-law bought an Audi there seven years ago - it was a lemon - but Mattie would not help her exercise her lemon law rights or fix the problems. The Mattie staff was condescending and sexist to her. After a lot of stonewalling Mattie finally took the car in for overnight repair - and it was vandilized in the back lot - The headlights and other parts were stolen right off the car! ##### Stay Away. The salesman, Sean Drury was extremely pleasnat, courteous and very consience of what my overall needs were to put me in an automobile that best suits my needs.
